Yes, our host, Ron, made provisions last time for 4-6 outlets so members could charge. You can get a good 2-3 hours charge. I'll see if that will be available again. If you need a true L2 dock, Stevens Creek Nissan is very close. And, finally, there are several members that live close by that could offer their home dock/outlet to you.

Maybe slightly out of the way, there is a brand new ChargePoint station at 92/880. It's a little out of the way, but would work in a pinch on the way back.
Howard, I emailed Ron at HP and received a very detailed response, which I've copied below. I will plan on bringing an Avcon adapter for the ICS-200B station.

There are three locations where charging can be done, (highlighted at A, B, C), mainly along the south side of the campus there are two 240 V sources with NEMA 14-50 connections. I have splitters for these so that four LEAFs can be charged at 120 V simultaneously from one such connection. So no need to bring many converters, we don’t want one car hogging the source for four. (We can do that since the breaker size is such it can handle two cars on a 120 V circuit.) Total accommodation: ~10 cars.

At (A): These are in the middle of the parking lot near a chainlink fence cage around a large transformer and breaker panel.

At (B): There is an old EVI MCS-100 connector that can provide either one 120 V or one 240 V connection on the south west corner of Bldg 46.

At (C): On the far west end of the campus there is an AVCON EVI box, an ICS-200B unit which provides only 208 to one car. If Mike Thompson brings his splitter that could power two more cars.

Hopefully everyone can read this. Follow the red line and then on foot to the side entrance where the meeting room is (red arrow).
Most everyone knows that HP has sold this campus to Apple, and therefore no new J-plugs are being installed here at this time.

Questions? Email is best.

I have a 14-50 to four L6-20 Adapter I can bring, that way four upgraded EVSE's can plug in to the 14-50. I think this is a much better idea!

I'll email Ron.

George: Thanks for posting Ron's response. Here is a non-satellite-photo map with addresses, etc.

The address is 19091 Pruneridge Ave if you need to set your Nav system.
In addition to the charging on site, Stevens Creek Nissan is nearby. If you want to charge there, please let me know and I'll contact their LEAF specialists to let them know. Also, several of our members live nearby and might offer charging.

We'll arrive with tailgate refreshments just after 8AM.
Suggest that we park in the lot marked B in the photo.
Meeting will start at 9AM
Brief Agenda:
1) Introduction New Members
2) Committee Reports
3) Upcoming Events
4) Preparation for December 3rd Meeting with LEAF Engineering Team
a) volunteers needed for pizza party, webcast/recording
b) agenda review
c) first semi-dry run of presentations
5) Open Q&A (time permitting)
6) Horn upgrade clinic (parking lot)

Looks like we should be able to charge about 8-10 LEAFs in Lot A, so can we make that the suggested parking area?

-Phil
I was thinking B because of the photo opportunities and proximity to the room. But A would work better from a charging perspective. I'm game for A--we can always line everyone up if there's a good photo op. I'll start setting up over there when I arrive.

Great! I'll bring EVSE's, Adapters, and other fun stuff!

Howard, What's the meeting end time scheduled to be at?
-Phil
We have the room until Noon. Last time we were at HP, we ended right around then. Nominally, I'd say we end at 11. Given that this meeting will be a little different from past ones, it's hard to judge it.

It's interesting to look back at the first few meetings, where MNL members would indicate their planned attendance here. Now, almost no one does that, yet we regularly have >40 attendees. Evolution.

Our numbers are large enough now that the attrition numbers balance it out, and the attendance is somewhat consistent. However, I worry that the Nissan meeting will be overrun! I think we should create an RSVP for that meeting. At some point we may grow too large for some of our venues though!

So I have been looking through this mess of a tread, and have say, I can't find one definite place where the actual meeting place is described other than at HP on Pruneridge.

Would someone post a sweet and simple address (i.e. building number/name) of where this meeting is going to be at?

There will be some charging available, please post here if you will need a charge to make the meeting so we can coordinate this.

Looks like I will be able to make it to this meeting. Please save a charge spot for me as I am coming from San Francisco. 110v is fine w/ me.

I live near De Anza and 280 (and Homestead, about a mile from HP), and have L2 charging available in my garage if you (or anyone else coming a long way) would prefer to L2 charge during the meeting. Send me a PM here or find my contact information on the (private) BayLeaf map.

I live exactly 3mi away from the meet and also have a L2 charger in my garage -- PM me if you are coming a long way and need to arrange a plug-in.

Maybe what we can do is divert people with charge needs to the nearby homes (thanks guys) if we run out of charging slots at HP.

Can anyone with charging nearby come find me in Lot A? (Short Guy, White LEAF, Red Shirt)

-Phil

Nice to meet many of you today at the gathering (my first).

I took a couple of pictures, which you can see here:

One question that came up during the meeting is the release date of revenge of the electric car on DVD and Netflix streaming. The DVD release is Jan 24th 2012 and I will be able to give an update on the streaming release date nearer the time. It could be from the same date as DVD to a few months later.

Netflix DVD subscribers can search for it by name and add it to queue today.
