Leaf Quick Release Hitch for bike racks or cargo

I installed this hitch two years ago. I absolutely love it and have no complaints. I carry weekly three adult bikes and one child bike on a bike rack. I would estimate around 150 pounds with no problems. Even towing bikes I do not notice a OMG difference in range. update: So I had some errands...

Winter 2013, now which rubber mats are best for a Leaf?

Maybe another round of product requests to weathertech for the second row...sounds like our first round worked. I have had the standard OE rubber mats for over a year. The front seems to be holding up...how ever the back just provides almost no protection. The kids are destroying the carpet...

    80% charging

I use a combination of 80 and 100 percent timers. Some day I need eighty and some day's I need 100. So what I do is I just set an end time for eighty percent on timer two and and end time for 100 percent on time 1. This actually alleviates the timer thinking it is on the wrong day. My hundred...

Used Leaf at Nearby Dealership - Good Deal for $18k?

I think 10K is a good offer. Maybe you could get them to put a 12KW Engineer pack in the trunk for 16k.

    recommended approach for efficiency on-highway?

I find myself behind the Lorry's all the time. I always follow the rule if I can not see the Mirrors of the truck then I am too close. I am also a big fan of staying with the flow of traffic. I would love to keep the steady pace of fifty five as it seems to be most efficient and logical, but...

Leaf as 50 mile daily driver in Maine?

I have been driving my Leaf 50 miles every day. My first winter has not hit yet, but I have gone through some of the worst rain condition's imaginable. I usually charge to 80% and then set my timers to charge and preheat me to 100% just before I leave in the morning. This allows my Leaf to sit...

If only Nissan was as accommodating...

This is great news. Now if we can just be allowed to reverse engineer the OK button on the Leaf. Come on Nissan just leak a work around and let the user decide if we want to permanently hit OK.

    CV^H^H *Tire* trouble anyone?

13000 miles on mine and I have been hearing the same noise as you describe. I will try to make a recording of it tomorrow. I think this will be important to explain to the dealership. Hairy

    Daylight savings confused my leaf??

So this issue has been ongoing for a couple of weeks and I have not been able to figure it out. For some reason my charge timer thinks it is one day earlier. I have charge timer 1 set for 80% and charge timer 2 set to 100%. Usually when I get home I plug in and let my leaf reach 80%. On days...

    Full back-seat floormats are needed

+1, I personally am tired of having nothing adequate to protect the back seat. http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=9987 The solution that Nissan offers for floor mats is adequate for the front but not for the back seat. With two small kids my center hump is getting destroyed, and...

LEAF Battery size - 12 kw?

The Nissan Leaf start's off with a 24KW battery. In this forum there are many on going discussions about battery capacity. If you use the search feature at the top of the screen and search for battery capacity you will get at least a couple days worth of reading...

please help me decide on a Prius plug in or a LEAF...

I know the original post is weather to get a Leaf or a PIP. Your commute is outside the safe range of the Leaf. Unless you have access to L3 or L2 charging. So I would strongly recommend the PIP. But +1 On the Tesla Model S. Hands down no worries with the World Car Of The Year.
