No luck for me either. I got the waiver enabled, but didn't check the box right away; called a few dealers, logged back in and now my "order" (RAQ) is disabled again. Checked with CS and they say "there has been an issue with the ordering and RAQ accepting, Nissan is working on the site as we speak."

By the way when I tried as an experiment to go ahead and schedule the assessment I got the same error "not servicing your area" or whatever.

thanks for the info, kpm.

I had similar experience with the dashboard. It has reverted to requiring EVSE assessment scheduled, but then it says my area is not being serviced.

Did any of you receive email asking you to proceed with ordering? I just checked the dashboard, saw it open, and went from there. Wondering if I am just jumping the gun, and need to wait for the email.

no emails , we jumped the gun and Nissan isnt ready yet

things will get fixed up shortly from what they just told me
repairing the website they said

540-898-5200 if you want to call Bob

Tell him Kevin sent you!

My dashboard is awake but the waiver that I had requested months ago
isn't activated. Poor Nissan, getting pushed from behind before they
are actually ready.....

well they should have been ready by last friday with all the testing and updates to the site

so we could start ordering on the 25th as they advertised :)

Advice on Ordering:

1. The dealers might know MSRP, but might not yet know their
"invoice" or their "sales kickback" amounts.

2. Call dealers by phone, and negotiate a firm (MSRP-including-delivery
charge) price plus or minus some "deal" amount.
Do this BEFORE you chose a dealer on-line and BEFORE you RAQ.

3. Have them confirm the 2012 LEAF (model, accessories) price
and that it includes "delivery" via email to you.
Also have them confirm that there will not be any other charges,
other tham tax and license.

4. If you are intending to LEASE, and only agree on a purcase price,
not a final Lease payment and Lease terms, they can still change
the lease interest rates on you.

5. With a solid pre-agreement, the RAQ should be just a 5-minute
"this is your already-approved deal" process, and your acceptance,
resulting in an "immediate" order.

That's great info Gary, but you've skipped over the part before the negotiation where the dealer says "the car's not for sale yet" or "we haven't got a shipment yet" or "we don't know the price yet." Four out of five dealers in my area have NO idea what the ordering process is and are completely unaware of the current state of things - even the ones who are listed as "Leaf certified" on Nissan's site. Don't remember how much of this nonsense you guys encountered in the west, but this hurdle has be gotten over before we can even begin to use your advice.

Maybe one of the highly respected and experienced CA dealers on the forum could help us out by providing a "dealer FAQ" (What training should they have? How do they get Leaf certified? How do they access the "dealer dashboard"? How do they respond to an RAQ?) to get their counterparts in the east up to speed. ;) I know - you may say they "should" know all this, but unfortunately, in my experience, they don't. Is this part of the "infrastructure" we've been waiting so long for?

I spoke to all the Nissan Leaf Specialist and GM's in South Florida and they are are selling the Leaf at MSRP. The only thing worse that the lack of enthusiasm for EV's from the South Florida auto dealers is the lack of actual reservations from the South Florida car buyers.

Thanks for the info spike - you seem to have had better luck than I have. So can you recommend a dealer or two?

Nine of the 10 South Florida dealers (all except Coral Springs Nissan are Certified Leaf dealers. When you start asking questions about the Leaf, they steer you to their Leaf Expert who is the salesperson assigned to sell the Leaf.

Since you live in Boynton, Maroone of Delray Beach is your best beet. Pompano Nissan is also a possibility. Coral Springs Automall is not selling the Leaf. Weston Nissan had the best website info. I am dealing with Mike from Esserman Nissan.

Okay thanks! Maroone Delray I had previously ruled out since they wouldn't give me a straight answer on whether they'd sell for MSRP, but maybe I was too harsh on them and could reconsider. Esserman is a bit far for me, but I guess I'll only need to make a one way trip in the Leaf. However, I notice they aren't listed as Leaf-certified on the "find a dealer" page. Have you been able to successfully RAQ or place your order yet?

I just submitted my RAQ! I selected Bill Siedle because CS told me Esserman was not yet a certified dealer. They are all selling at the same price anyways! And Bill Siedle is 4 miles closer to my house.

Hello All.
Just noticed on the internet that Avondale Nissan has SIX Nissan LEAFs for sale! Avondale is in Arizona! Kind of pisses me off since I waited almost a year to get mine! But hey if you don't have yours yet give them a call! I did and I couldn't believe it!

If the dealer says they haven't received a shipment yet, just tell them that it is the customer's computer order (RAQ) that sends the LEAF to them, not Nissan. ;)

So no one can order the car yet because the website wont let you go past the assesment section?

Is that really whats up?

my dash shows the waiver enaabled (box checked)

but still says "schedule yours"

and wont let me go to order screen anymore

strange that this would come up after all this time they have had.

I'm also meeting a dead end at the assessment section.

I'm filling out the "Where will your Nissan LEAF live" screen, but when I click the "next" button, I get the message:

"We are sorry, we are not servicing your geographical location as of now. Please revisit again."

This started happening Tuesday afternoon on the 26th.

The good news is that I figured out how to change my preferred dealer, by clicking the "find a dealer" link at the bottom of the main page, thanks to other postings on MyNissanLeaf. ;)

I hope this gets fixed soon. I would have thought the system had been shaken down pretty well with the orders from the initial five states..... :?

Ah, that's where y'all have been posted. Trust me to follow the threads that are low-traffic, like the July 2011 Orders thread I stated last June. Aren't these basically the same topic?

Anyway, as for prices, these are from Herb Gordon Nissan of Silver Spring, MD:

What options are available on the 2012 LEAF?

Basically, as stated elsewhere, the prices are the same on Port Options / Accessories, and the colors are unchanged and there are now only 2 trims, not 6 and no options. Not sure those are the right Trim numbers or what Invoice is yet but I know MSRP - Invoice is about $1500 profit.

I'll try to get a firm MSRP and no other costs besides tax and tags from Nissan of Chantilly, who I've currently moved from since the Carrie/Dmitri/Other Guy revolving door at Brown's Sterling. I will say Sharron at Browns Fairfax and Chris at Criswell in Germantown MD are really good people to work with and Pohanka of Fredricksberg is also nice. I'd also trust Chevy Chase Nissan and Tischer Nissan / Acura.

I am also facing the Home Assessment screen and will be bloging about it shortly, though I really don't have time for this! :(
