Electrical line noise while charging at 240V

Sorry, should have specified. I got a 2013 Leaf to come by and there was no noise what so ever. I immediately plugged my 2011 back in and the buzzing was instantly noticeable after the double beep when the car does it's hand shake with the EVSE (which is when it starts actually charging).

Electrical line noise while charging at 240V

FYI I was able to get Nissan to replace the on board charger in my car after a lot of back and forth with them. I managed to get a case opened up and was able to send in videos via drop box links which they sent on to engineering. By the time I took the car in to the dealer they had already sent...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

I finally got a ELM reader. With my battery replaced in late October I'm already showing 93% SOC at 61.1Ah.

Electrical line noise while charging at 240V

Bumping an old thread up here, VIN 2193 and I definitely have this issue. I used to live with a detached garage far from the house on its own 100A sub panel to which I never had any issues noticing any noise. I have since moved to a smaller house with a carport right near the living area. The...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Yes it's back to 12 bars, I haven't looked yet, but it should be a brand new 2013 pack. I also was pretty much forced to get the software update at the same time, but the range seems higher than it ever was when new. No GID reading equipment yet. I'm contemplating just selling it.

FYI I got my replacement pack on October 4th.

    Phoenix metro-area

Glad I'm not the only one who uses those while patronizing the Angels Trumpet! Thanks for posting that. They used to have 120V outlets there, which I had always told myself I'd use those just to have an easy free parking spot once they started charging money for L2, but they had a homeless...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Well, I only had 10 bars for a grand total of 57 days 1,535 miles. I left for vacation last week and got back to nine bars yesterday at 24,357 miles. It's looking more like I'll possibly get some more range before the summer is out.

    Supposed Software Enhancement--Total FAIL

I don't buy the virus bit, but rather they screwed up the procedure and bricked a module during the reprogram. My car had this happen when I had Nissan send out a special tech, the previous software update hadn't taken correctly (I was getting a random occasional yellow warning light with...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Here's a fun picture for everyone. 8 temperature bars for the first time with parking in the shade most of the day and level 2 charging only. Ohh and its last night at 9pm! I started the day at 8:30am with 7 bars on the temperature gauge...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Update from me, I met up with Trevor and had my Ah reading read, it was indicating around 74% of capacity available. Leafwing, your loss was at a mileage very close to when I lost my 2nd bar. I'd say call and complain about it, but I wouldn't expect much from customer service at this point...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Well, with full intentions to call Nissan I happened to receive a call from a Nissan Leaf representative in response to some less than stellar survey responses I had sent in recently about dealer service, and I figured while I had him on the phone I'd file a request for a buy back again. I was...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Yes I guess I should call, I had already asked for a buy back before. I'm over 2 years now, but I have proof I brought this up at around 12K when I lost the first bar. I'm home sick today with the flu so probably not much going to happen in the next day or two. I do have a CAN sniffer available...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Well, add me to the two bar looser list. Lost bar number two on Sunday at 22,827 miles, two years, one month and four days in. Do I even bother calling Nissan?

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

I don't have one and I'd be curious where I'm at. I've had that scangauge plugged in to my car at least twice. A chance encounter recently with a local person who had a GID meter at a DCFC showed about 78% by the math, but this was hardly conclusive as a full charge reading. If you're up in the...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

I'm still down only 1 bar, and will cross 20K miles in the next day or two. Cinco de Mayo will be two years for me. I suspect I will loose the second bar soon also. I posted a link to my site on their facebook page a few days ago mentioning the capacity loss. Some how they have not removed it yet.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

I received a "we're not going to buy it back" letter from Nissan today after I started the BBB arbitration process. Strangely this arrived the day before I was going to mail the copies of everything the BBB requested I send in.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

We can add JN1AZ0CP8BT003736 to the list of two bar loosers. FYI I used this dealer and the service writer did mention someone with two bars gone early on, this could be that car...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

It's been a little while since I posted last. My last post mentioned I had started jumping through the hoops. I got a specialist to come out and look at the car last week. I dropped it off in the morning and got my loaner at Larry Miller "Riverview" Nissan and went to work. They apparently had...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Having looked back at some pictures of the dash right when I lost my first bar to now the numbers have gotten worse. Thought I should mention that. Late spring should be interesting.
