Update on Nissan LEAF Battery Replacement

I talked to the dealer I'm using (not the one I purchased the Leaf from), and they suggested quick charging like user davewill suggested. They said if it did drop after the warranty expired, we'd still send the paperwork in to Nissan, as they might cover it in whole or partial, (and stood a...

Update on Nissan LEAF Battery Replacement

Interesting. I found this thread that says Nissan is doing partial credits (after warranty expires): http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=22820 I'm going to contact my local dealer and see what they have to say

Update on Nissan LEAF Battery Replacement

My 2012 Leaf has 53,xxx miles on it and 6 DAYS left under warranty. My LeafSpy shows 188 GIDS after a charge to 100% & 14.6 kWh Remaining, and 66.9% (battery capacity). It dropped the first three bars so long ago, I thought for sure it would have dropped the fourth bar by now. Am I eligible...

unexpected/unintended sudden braking- swaying and shaking

My Wife has had an issue like this 3 or 4 times while on the freeway. It happened yesterday, so we dropped the car off at the dealer today. the dealer said they would test drive it. :( seeing as it only happens every once in a while, they won't find it. Aren't there diagnostics they can...

    PG&E processing Solar Interconnection Agreements

I was able to get mine processed quickly by filing a complaint with the CPUC. :D There is a 150 page 'law' of how the interconnections are to be handled. They have 30 days to process the agreements of the 'small' providers like us (rooftop solar, wind, etc.). Without a complete reading...

    PG&E processing Solar Interconnection Agreements

I'm having a terrible time getting any headway with PG&E in processing my solar interconnection agreement. How do you get it done? Thanks...

125A Load Center, what are my options?

It's a separate permit and approval, plus power out for a day, plus $3k cost. Yeah, 30% back... But it's a lot of expense for a house that tops out at 40 amp load, and it cuts in to the payoff of the solar.

125A Load Center, what are my options?

For what it's worth... I have a 100 amp zinsco panel, and I kept mine and went with 17 M215s on 250w panels. I'm really pleased with the output I'm getting from the enphase system. It would have been a significant additional cost to replace my main panel and all of the breakers. Note that...

    Nissan shutting out third-party apps

If we are going to complain to Nissan as a group, i'm in. I prefer the non-Nissan app i've been running.

Average energy efficiency always the same....

I cruise the freeway faster - 75 instead of low 60's. I would say that I always brake with the intention of capturing as much as possible. My commute is 120 miles or more a day. My girlfriend commented today that the 4 mpk may as well be painted on... Lol! Maybe I should try another high...

Average energy efficiency always the same....

I'm pressing the "reset history and add to average" button. So it does clear it, but very shortly after its cleared, it's hovering around 4... I can't believe some people are able o get it under 3 or over 5. I've put over 4,000 miles on my leaf in 2.5 months, and love it. But don't...

Average energy efficiency always the same....

I've driven very efficiently, and I've driven it like a hot rod, and it seems that I always get about 4 mpk. Sure, I see a slight fluctuation, 3.9 or 4.2, but I find it hard to believe that it's that constant. Anyone else notice this, or can ome one explain why it's so constant?

    Blink 2.0

They used to display kwh and removed it in 1.8? I was going to start a thread on "desired display items for the Blink", and list kwh. I can't believe it's got an internal energy meter and it doesn't tell you how much kwh you used in you last charge or your current usage while you're charging...

What's your long-term average energy efficiency reading?

4.0 mpkh. I reset my history every now and then, and it varies by .1-.2 . Not bad, considering I do a lot of freeway miles and go over hills.

A real-life cost of Leaf driving calculation in Bay Area

Thanks for posting. I was able to read the advice letter, and as I read it, it doesn't appear bad to me, as I'm well into tier 3 with my Leaf and home on the same meter. The no-tier pricing is less than than tier 3, 4, &5, so in a sense it protects you from a *really* bad bill when you drive a...

A real-life cost of Leaf driving calculation in Bay Area

I signed up for the E-9A rate schedule last month, and I'll be monitoring my energy usage to see if solar will pay off for me. My energy usage before the Leaf was averaging around 16kwh a day, since adding the Leaf my usage has doubled. Watching my smart meters hourly usage chart, I see 4kwh...
