Huge rattle from center dashboard

For those of you who are able to stop the rattling by pressing on the bezel of the navigation or opening it up- was the dealer able to fix your problem?

I had the rattle once and all I did was grip the right side of the black bezel or surrounding black part with my finger tips and pulled towards me or outward just a little and the sound went away, never came back.

I had this chronic problem too, and tugging on the left side of the center console made it go away... for a day or two. Finally, I stuffed some Kleenex in the corners around the clips and snapped it back into place. Haven't heard it since (several months now).

Here is a DIY solution that I came up with last year.

From the first week we noticed a rattle in our 2013 SL. It took two trips to the dealer but eventually they found the problem. It was the left front strut (or something like that) that was defective. They ordered a new one and a week later it was installed. No more rattle.

This only happens when traveling >40 mph and worsens with speed. Any ideas?

I couldn't hear no stinkin' rattle! :?

I heard the rattle, like a clicking type sound. It might be something like a pair of sun glasses in the holder above the windshield that hindges down and up to open and close. That happened to me once. I just repositioned them and put some napkins in to cushion them.

I added a second link where you can hear it after 30mph, and gets loudest heading into 70mph. It sounds like a small pebble rattling at high speed.

I can hear the stinkin' rattle now. Weird. Did you look under the car to see if something got stuck under there, and starts flapping in the breeze as you speed up??
