I am wondering if there are any Portland area dealers that are going to step up to the plate and offer $500 or $1000 below MSRP like in the Southern Calif. area? Now is the time.
A side note:
I am still on the radar for a free EVSE from Ecotality. They have more questions. If for some reason I don't qualify, I most definitely will not choose the AV one. I won't even have the assessment. My 40 amp circuit is already in the ideal spot for the EVSE so why should I pay $100 so they can tell me I'm a standard install and it will cost me $2200? When they call, I will just tell them to put me on the list for buying the EVSE without installation and then choose between the Leviton (my first choice) or the AV. Oh darn, that means I won't get the training on how to use it? Let's see, put the plug in the car, then push the ON button. When finished or even when not finished, push the OFF button, unplug the car and drive off. Oh, now I get it!! I cannot believe that Nissan is letting AV screw their customers like that. I am a retired union electrician and also was a union contractor in San Diego for 25 years and I would have never gouged the customer in the way that AV is. There is enough money to be made by giving a fair estimate for what the job should really cost. Anyway, sorry for venting.
I am in the September ordering and will be happy if I can get it in Dec. or Jan. just as long as I get it before gas is $5 a gallon.
