What if I have a group discount (Costco, etc.) with my preferred dealer? Is there somewhere (a notes field, etc.) where I can notify them along with my options and color?
As far as I know, there are no discount programs being honored by Nissan in particular. Your "preferred dealer" may offer you some kind of discount of their own volition.

The program I am part of is actually the Business Associate/Vendor Purchase Program
http://www.insidenissan.com/index.html
You basically buy directly from Nissan for a little below invoice, instead of negotiating the price with the dealer.

They've excluded a couple cars (Versa 1.6, GT-R), so they might exclude the Leaf, but would be nice to know for sure...

If you work for a company that is a "business associate" of Nisan, you qualify for the VPP purchase program. The details and information can be found at www.insidenissan.com. We will Not know if the Leaf will be eligible until Nissan officially announces it.

Not having actually seen it "jev77"...I'd say that it's probably like the ones that are on the CUBE or the Z.
Do you have a link to it for the CUBE ? Don't see it on Nissan's site.
Try this: http://www.nissanusa.com/img/vehicles/options/cube/cub_opt_lg_kick_plates.jpg
Thanks for that, deetime7767! That actually looks pretty good. :D

There are more than 1,300 companies listed as business partners.

So, a lot of people would be eligible for discounts if Leaf is part of VPP.

The current VPP price is $150 below invoice.

CampbellNelson,

Can you find out from Nissan rep whether Leaf will be part of VPP ?

The answer I got was we will not know until the vehicle is in production. My guess would be November if it happens

That would imply that the Dealer's quote (which the customer accepted to order the car) would be NULL & VOID, and be superseded by the VPP program pricing, right ?

Not necessarily. It is up to the dealer to choose to honor the VPP program.
