It would be interesting, if you have the capability, to determine as you're driving when the first bar
'drops' and the Ahr capacity at that point. My Leaf consistently 'drops' the first bar at about 53.5-54 Ahr.

ah! interesting. I don't have a direct way but can tell you GID count, ahr remaining, SOC, etc. should be a way to figure it out from those numbers. Headed to White River Amphitheater for Journey Concert in a few hours. will check and report back!

]Is there a battery degradation graph/chart verses temperature posted here? Here is Hawaii battery temperature remains above 85 during the summer months and 77 in the winter. My 2011 Leaf lost 3 battery bars in 16,000 miles and 34 months.
I did a lease swap for a new 2014. The numbers below indicate a SOH loss of 4 points in 2 months and 1120 miles. I was hoping that new battery chemistry would help with our temperatures but not looking good at this point in the battery's life.

Your AHr loss is similar to my late 2013 Leaf at about 10K miles.

Given that you and mkjayakumar both have 2014s, his numbers with basically no loss
seem unrealistic, especially his living the Texas!

I will post my next update end of this month, but I am seeing now 269 Gids on a full charge, given that (only) now the temps are hitting 100F.

But I am guessing the BMS is limiting the charge a little bit when the ambients are high, and I will get some of it back when it cools back again to the 80s. I will post a screen snapshot of LeafStat in a few weeks, when I would be at 13K miles by then.

One thing though, I always charge outside giving an opportunity for the battery to cool to low 80s.

Reading taken in September at 14K miles. And this reading has now dropped to 260 at 15.5K miles. Looks like the honeymoon is over. The drop from 284 to 260 was fairly quick just over three months and 4k miles.

I just turned over 15K miles on my 2014 S that was purchased back on 2.1.2014 and am glad to report that the summer weather here in Houston did not noticeably degrade my battery. Now that the weather has cooled down to the high-60 to mid-80 degree range and the AC is off, I am even seeing real world distance back up to the high-90, low-100 miles range that it had back when I first picked it up. "AND," this includes relatively frequent >55MPH speeds. This is QUITE different from both of our 2011 Leafs that took a range beating the very first summer.

Miles: 15862 / 140 L3 QCs, 261 L2s
AHr 61.91 / SOH 94% / Hx 95.41% / SOC 97.2% / Temp 77 degrees

2014 Cayenne Red Leaf SL purchased 6/9/2014 (dealer received it on 6/7/2014), manufacture date 4/2014
7/4/14 -629 miles, Temp 83, SOC 97.5, 59.81 Ahr, SOH 91%, Hx 91.44, 20.2 Kwh, Avg 4.127, High 4.136, Low 4.122, GIDS 267/92.5%
11/01/14 -5045 miles, Temp 73, SOC 97.1, 58.05 Ahr, SOH 88%, Hx 87.74, 19.6 Kwh, Avg 4.121, High 4.131, Low 4.115, GIDS 252/89.7%

Your battery is performing basically the same as my 2013 (del. 12/13) in that initially it was at 60 Ahrs,
at 7.5K 58.9 Ahrs, and now at 13K at about 56.5 Ahrs.

Interesting that you and I picked up the car on the *same* date, and I have driven *exactly* the same miles to date (rolled into 16k miles few days ago), and I am at 260 Gids at 100%. The only difference is I have not done any QC while you have done a lot.. 140 QC ? that is a lot of QCs and a lot of L2s.

I am curious to learn your GID value for 100% charge. What is it?

Good question. Unfortunately I only have the LeafSpy Lite app with no GID report. The beauty of it all is in the fact that the car is performing "like new" after a nice hot summer and QC (sometimes plural) almost every day that I drive it. It is such a nice change considering our remaining 2011 Leaf was considerably more degraded after 9 months and NEVER got >70 miles or so on a charge.

The Ahr value is just as meaningful as the GID value when comparing capacities.

Except that both the Ahr and GID values on the 2013+ LEAF bounce around so much that it's nearly impossible to compare what the battery is actually doing.

What people really need to do is to drain the battery to turtle and then measure the energy used from the wall to recharge.

My Ahrs are fairly consistent in their decline, i.e. started 60.5 (del. 12/13) and now @ 13K miles it's at 56.5.
Project the first bar drop @ about 25K miles.

Does anyone know how early MY13s, that have lived two full summers, are doing?

just one Summer (much warmer than normal... but not hot) and 16,000 miles.

numbers bounce around a lot but reasonably speaking a roundabout evaluation says

kwh 22.7 to 22.0
ahr from 67.36 to 65.75
GIDs 284 to 284
Hx from 107.25 to 102ish
