Thanks but my new work is paying to have it towed up. They say it could take up to a whole week though. :x I'll get it just in time for the Saturday meeting in SF.

Jeremy

A local cluster gathering today (Saturday):
See Jeremy's brand new 2012 LEAF, and wish him well. :D
See you at the Corner Bakery in South Coast Plaza at noon today.

Unless you want to charge, consider parking just outside the restaurant,
to better display our LEAF-Cluster. However it could be difficult to find
nearby parking at the noon hour.

A small group of friends met to wish Jeremy well in his new adventure.
Sitting outside the restaurant in the interior hallway was MUCH quieter
than sitting inside. We had a nice time talking.

Next Saturday, our regular breakfast Gathering at the HTB in Cerritos.

Well, I arrived with a twisted knee ... and hobbled around.
When I got home, I applied cold-packs and had a lot of
unscheduled "downtime".

We had 10 people, and 9 LEAFs at the meeting.
No Red or Black colors, however, primarily white and blue.

I enjoyed the company and the conversation, and we all
got to see Kat eating the triangular potato wedges.

Jeremy went to Folsom yesterday, and started working today.
So, watch out for cascade power grid failures as he tests
pushing the "red" button!

Thank you all for showing up.

Next Gatheriing is in Santa Ana on 21 July.
We are almost to two full years of Gatherings.

Yes, always on the 2nd and 4th Saturday ...
plus or minus a week. :)

Sometimes holiday weekends are avoided, and occasionally
I change the weekends to accomodate "special" needs.

So, this month, the 1st and 3rd Saturday.
I keep this thread's first post updated with more info. :D

All: I can report that Jeremy has made it up to Folsom and he and his LEAF are both in good shape. He drove from Folsom to Cupertino (151 miles) to attend the SF BayLEAFs meeting on Saturday. He shared his experience at Refuel 2012 with the group, jumping right in. We charged him up with our modified EVSEs and adapters, and sent him on his way around mid afternoon. He was saying that he planned to do close to 400 miles in a single day on Saturday. Will be curious to see how it went. In any case, he appeared to be very happy.

Hard to believe that you guys have been gathering for close to 2 years now--are you doing something special for your 2nd anniversary? We just finished gathering #15 although we skipped a few months due to joint meetings with EAA chapters. We're a long way from two years, though.

We had 22 Gatherings the first year, and 22 so far this year,
with 3 still to go.

So, God willing, we will end August with 47 Gatherings
"in our basket".

Having grown from a Cluster to a Branch, our LEAF family has
been heart-warming to me: "not too Small, or too Big, but
Just Right" (ref. Goldilocks).

The SF Branch, on the other hand, with a LOT of work by
gascant (and a few others), has grown into a full Tree, which
seems to be sowing seeds and bearing fruit. Congratulations!!!

No matter what the future beings, these last two years,
and all of you, have brought the gift of Many Fond Memories to me.

I pray that I do not forget you ... or at least get
to meet you anew again each month. :D :D

I thank each of you for sharing some of your inner self with me,
for each "share" is multiplied, not divided.

Sincerely, GaryG

There is a quote from Jian Torkin, the owner of the 7-11 in San Bernardino with the Eaton DCQC.

Good find, Tom, and great picture, JPV. Lovely EV smile!

Oh, hey. Thanks, Tom and Boomer. I was kinda laughing in that photo because he kept taking so many photos with me doing something so (now, to me) mundane. (What? Haven't you ever seen anyone plug in an electric car before?! ) Plus, with all the photos he had taken earlier in the day, I never expected he would end up using this one.
