They haven't handled the accessory issue very well for the early buyers. Nissan should have distributed some descriptions and photos, but others have already posted photos of similiar accessories from other Nissan cars. My guess is that the Leaf stuff won't look too much different...

Do you think it will have the jumper cables
Or is Leaf expected to jump start other cars

I`m looking for recommendations on seat cushions. My wife is just 5 feet tall and used to driving an SUV. She has driven the Leaf and loved it but would like to sit higher.

You might need to have an auto upholstery shop make a special cushion. Or check the store "Relax the back", where I've found neat cushions for lower lumbar support.

I guess I could have photoshopped the cables out to present a more Leaf-like solution, and stuck in a double-headed J1772 cable. Mouth-to-mouth for your Leaf...

Don't laugh! If you leave the stereo on with the car off, you can indeed kill the 12v battery, as apparently happened on one of the Drive Event cars! So yes, you would need a 12v jumper-cable start from another car to start the Leaf.

Crazy, but true.

Looks like a left-hand drive car, so perhaps this is a feature only intended for the home market? I seem to remember reading that the Japanese are paying more, relatively speaking, than we in the US are for this car so perhaps they get a few extra features to upscale it a bit. With so many features standard, I suppose a leather-wrapped steering wheel is the least they could do. Does make me wonder, though, if they might also get power seats.... :?:

also if you look at that site with a translator it gives 2 differnt prices for reg car and car with cold weather package
and says " cold weather package as of april 2011"

The first picture ... looks like weather protection while charging. Interesting idea, in particular in colder climates (freezing rain, snow, etc). Is it available in US ? Is it part of the cold weather package ? Helps in rain too, although it should not be necessary if charge port area has been properly designed.
