Just had an unfortunate encounter with the Hollywood Blink Quick Charge. It would start charging and then give an error message. I called Blink and re created the event with the representative watching over the network. She said it was a brand new error code that nobody has seen so far...

    Trip meters A & B

I use it to check how accurate the range estimate is. You probably already guessed the punchline .... It's about as good as random number generator.

It's the cold weather impacting battery chemistry. We got our car in March and we noticed that the range wasn't as great as we expected, but by the summer we were able to make 90 mile trips with no problems. Now we are noticing a decrease in range.

    Ecotality and Walmart

It sounds like not many. The deal only specifies 10 stores in CA, OR, and WA. One of the OR stores will get a DC quick charge.

After Over 5K Miles My Wife Had A Range Anxiety Episode

Does this mean Neil Cavuto was right?? Sorry, but this just gave me an excuse to repost the link to this video.

Ecotality rolling out roughly 200 QC chargers next month.

Building is one thing. But will they be functional and available? They have had a poor track record with both home and public L2 chargers. I can't think of any reason why the more complicated L3 will be any different.

2nd Public U.S. DC Quick Charger Unveiled in Portland, OR

The screen was blank if I remember correctly. I wasn't there when she was having the trouble. We didn't call blink. We also tried the station by the Hillsboro Stadium once. There were two that were working, but both had ICE vehicles occupying the spots. Of course the third one didn't work...

2nd Public U.S. DC Quick Charger Unveiled in Portland, OR

My wife tried to plug in at Electric Avenue and she wasn't able to find a working charger. She tried the blink and the shorepower unit. So far we haven't been able to get a single public blink charger to work (out of 3 attempts.) It would be nice if the chargers were actually functional at...

    L3 Charging ?

Well I think the decision has already been made to use I-5. There is a plan to put L-3 along I-5 from BC to Mexico. It looks like Washington will be first with 9 chargers complete by the end of this year and Oregon has announced plans for a network of chargers in NW Oregon (most not on I-5)...

Nissan Leaf to attempt record-setting hill climb in reverse

Is this some sort of clever tie in to a certain movie that is being released today? "I'm the world's best backwards driver." -Mater And yes I am the father of a four year old and have watched Cars enough that I have the whole script mostly memorized.

Actually mine has it as well. I'm not sure it was worth the extra money, but oh well.

It's nice to see some movement finally. I am looking forward to seeing many happy leaf owners driving about.

Does anybody know who to contact to see if a particular Shorepower facility is working? My wife tried to use the one at the PGE Contact Center in Tualatin. It was nonfunctional. She made it home before turtle mode, but we only had 7 miles left.

Well it wasn't me. However we also had our first wild leaf sighting. It was a red Leaf at Sweet Tomatoes on Sunday evening.

ECOtality Level 2 charger : Blink

I have been having similar problems. I was told the fix should be in the next software upgrade.

    New Firmware Pushed : L2R.1.3A

Of course. So far they have given me no answers. They did want me to call the next time that it happened and said they had a 24 hr 7 day a week call center. So I spent some time around midnight Saturday night listening to "all our representatives are busy" messages.

    New Firmware Pushed : L2R.1.3A

Well I am starting to have charge interuptions again. It may be more prevelant when battery is below 50% charge, but I have at least one case where it cut out at 92%. Last night, I ended up connecting the L1 (getting 30% charge is better than 0%). I woke up and switched back to L2. I think...

    New Firmware Pushed : L2R.1.3A

I guess it is better than stopping in the middle of the night. It looks like they have disabled much of the functionality and made it a normal "dumb" charger. Tonight is the first night in awhile where we have been under 50% charge. So it should be charging for awhile.

Too busy trying to fix all the problems with their residential charger ??

ECOtality Level 2 charger : Blink

PST vs PDT vs EDT (location of Blink Servers is on East Coast) and the log on the Web UI is in UTC. It made it difficult to line up the log sheet that customer service was sending with my record of events.
