    Leasing - wear coverage?

I've searched for this, but haven't found any specifics. Does NMAC offer any kind of wear coverage for lessees? In other words, insurance that covers vehicle wear, dings, etc., so that you aren't charged for that stuff when turning the car at the end of the lease. How much does it cost and...

    A/C and range

I searched around and expected to find some good topics on this already, but I didn't. How much range is lost to A/C? Does the A/C have different levels of power consumption? In Houston it's pretty much guaranteed that A/C or heat will be running all year around. Should I expect a fresh car to...

    Japanese 200V EVSE

It doesn't exactly look portable - it could be, but they've wall mounted it. It plugs into a dryer outlet. Source: http://blog.nissan-carwings.com/carwings/2010/06/post-6d9f.html (Japanese)

    Warranty and residual values

First production Leaf drive - Video

It's in Japanese.. but here's a (journalist?) sitting behind the wheel of a production Leaf... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgQaDSo5-2Q Can anyone translate? Anyone else find it strange that it's a left hand drive car? He gets it up to at least 89km/h (55mph)

    The colors suck.

So uninspired are the proposed colors for the Leaf that I've now changed my reservation to each one of them at one point or another. Silver... it's not a bad silver. But every third car on the road is silver these days. It's boring. Black looks fine, but my cars don't get washed very often...

Impact of A/C on EV range

Here's an interesting paper I found entitled "Impact of Vehicle Air-Conditioning on Fuel Economy, Tailpipe Emissions, and Electric Vehicle Range" - including some data from the EV1 Enjoy ;) http://www.nrel.gov/docs/fy00osti/28960.pdf

    Random thoughts about range

There's nothing new here, so I'm starting a new thread. GM claims a 40-mile EV range for the Volt. Their engineers seem able to actually attain that figure on a regular basis. I don't know if GM uses LA-4 or not; Google couldn't answer that quickly enough so I stopped looking...

Steve Jobs reserves his Leaf just today!

Have been sort-of paying attention to the WWDC keynote over here, and I noticed Jobs showing off a Nissan Leaf ad. Nissan will be promoting the Leaf to Apple users. More fuel for the Mac vs PC debate?

How are you choosing a dealership?

Around here there are 6 or 7 Nissan dealers within reasonable proximity that are Leaf certified. Trouble is, they all have ratings in the toilet. I emailed one dealer twice before getting a (very late) response. I want to avoid the usual sales BS, MSRP mark-ups and such... and hopefully find a...
