    Should I buy a Leaf?

Does Sweden usually have plugs available at parking spaces for block/fuel line heaters? I know many northern countries do, especially if diesel cars are prevalent. You could always use one of those plugs to charge/preheat the car at work, if they are available.

SAE combo plug/Frankenplug EV/PHEV car list

Nissan's expanded Smyrna plant is now the largest automotive manufacturing plant in America and makes a number of vehicles, primarily the Altima, but also the Maxima, Infiniti JX, new Pathfinder crossover, next Rogue, and the LEAF. BTW, it would be great if they added some of the tech to the...

    10Kw Fast Charger w/ Inverter

Another article on the PCS: http://www.metro.co.uk/tech/884798-nissan-unveils-technology-enabling-electric-leaf-car-to-power-family-home What would be great is if they could integrate solar inverter functionality, as the DC to AC circuitry already exists.

    10Kw Fast Charger w/ Inverter

Considering Nissan's in-house developed 48kW quick chargers are a fraction of what they cost from third parties, I wouldn't assume that this will be too expensive or that the third parties would be able to undercut them. http://www.nissan-global.com/EN/NEWS/2011/_STORY/111130-01-e.html Also...

Chevy incenting dealers $1500 to sell demo Volts

I believe the dealers have already taken the $7500 tax credit. So even with a $1500 incentive, these "used" models would come out more expensive for the buyer... However, considering the number of fraudulent claims of the EV tax credit last year, I think there will likely be some...

Nissan is to donate 400 electric car quick chargers

BTW, if you spread 3000 (minimum to get "several thousand" installed next year) quick chargers evenly across the EU, that would put them ~23 miles apart. 20,000 (minimum to have "tens of thousands" by 2015) would spread them less than 10 miles apart.

Nissan is to donate 400 electric car quick chargers

The press release: http://newsroom.nissan-europe.com/uk/en-gb/Media/Media.aspx?mediaid=85548 With "several thousand" quick chargers across Europe by the end of next year, this will make travelling throughout the country possible on quick chargers. "Tens of thousands" by 2015 should make it...

Read this before starting a new thread

I think there needs to be a new rule: Post new threads in the right section. People put new threads in the most random of places, leading to duplicate discussions and threads. Unless you are looking at every new thread, you would not see what you are looking for. Google searching key words...

I need an under 20KW DC ChaDeMo Quick Charger

I think your planned setup is inefficient. Why take DC from the batteries, go to AC, then back to DC? Eliminate the inverter. The Batteries charge at ~48kW for less than 20 minutes, then switch to a lower charge rate. If you use the 20kw from the grid feeding in additionally, you would only need...
