Some translation required. ;)

If you haven't been following the hubbub of Nissan and Mitsubishi on their efforts for off-grid inverters and vehicle to home/grid systems via the CHAdeMO port, this is the first one available. Its a stand-alone 1.5kW unit, 100V output at 50/60 Hz. Obviously for the Japan market only.

I can *just* hear the high pitched squeal of the inverter. I'd guess the switching frequency is around 20kHz.

The guy showing it off has a website (in Japanese) here: http://ev-technica.jp/

The press release didn't say a 12v connection was also required! :roll:

None the less... I want it I want it I want it!!!!!!! :mrgreen:

I want one though I wonder if it would work with the Leaf. I am sure we could run some stuff with this. I have several things like a Japanese vacuum that operates at 100V and it seems fine being fed 120V (or 110V). Some electrical items may not like being under powered. I'm sure there is a cheap converter 100-120v converter out there.

You may be able to feed a 120V EVSE and charge another car with it.. I believe the Panasonic EVSE will operate at that low a voltage.

jeremyW- here is another V2G announcement:

http://www.endesa.com/EN/SALADEPRENSA/NOTICIAS/Paginas/V2G-eng.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Endesa says it has developed a charger that enables electric vehicles (EVs) to return power to the grid. The new charge point features vehicle-to-grid (V2G) and vehicle-to-home (V2H) technology, which allows dual directionality of the load from the grid to the vehicle and back.

The system was developed by Endesa in conjunction with the Centre of the UPC-BarcelonaTech and the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research.
