FWIW, you can consider me "off the list" at ths point. I'm no longer the primary driver of our LEAF and my wife couldn't care less for this kind of techno-doohickey...

I just noticed that we are at the one year anniversary of this thread. Well not quite, but it is Pi day. Just think in another two years it will be 3.14 15 and then at 9:26:53 am. The anticipation is killing me (for both Leafscan and Pi day 2015). Time for bed...I've been up too long over too many days this past week...goodnight.

So, at some point that day, it will be EXACTLY Pi ?

My brain is locking up. :?

Nope, it'll never be EXACTLY Pi. Pi is an irrational number (goes on forever)...

But does anybody really know what time it is?

You do so long as you don't also know in which direction time is moving... But we're hijacking this thread with nonsense and risk a scolding from Ingineer. We'd best knock it off.

no it doesnt. a split second past the time and "Pi time" is no longer achievable. so at some point, time will equal Pi exactly. we simply are unable to figure that out "exactly"

I wish Ingineer could lock this thread until there's some real news/info.
You could always stop reading it. He will almost certainly start a new thread for the big announcement...and send out emails to those who signed up.

Wonder if this project will give LEAFScan competition in the future?

Looks like the Volt/Ampera is supported via OBDII.

I understand that Leaf/ZOE support is in development and Tesla/Twizy/Volt/Ampera is already released. Integration with the OCM Charging Station database is also close to release.

I use OVMS everyday and love what it brings to my Tesla. It would be great if future projects like LEAFSCAN™ built on top of community based projects IMO.

Phil,
I know you are busy with numerous other EV-related projects, but could you perhaps take 15 minutes to post an update on your LEAFSCAN's status? With respect, it has now been a year, and those of us who have been waiting patiently -- and quietly -- since your first posting would sure be encouraged by even a short "annual report." Thank you.

Volt/Amperage, like other oil burning automobile polluters, are required to be OBD2 compliant.

That's correct, OVMS has a virtual car architecture and can support anything via the OBDII interface.

We intend to use an Ampera to visit all the EV Charging Stations in the UK and attempt to charge... this process will automatically update the Open Charge Map database and give us a complete picture of the UK charging infrastructure. From that point on OCM will be updated everytime a OVMS equipped car uses a charging station and with luck the EV community will have an invaluable (and open) tool :D

Please, this thread is NOT THE PLACE to discuss OVMS.
I appreciate your point of view but disagree... the Open Vehicle Management System is relevant to this thread and the recent question was therefore perfectly legitimate IMO.
