^^^^ I would probably have it at 60F and maximum fan speed :)

A note about the OPs original problem.

I did experience non working AC caused by extremely dirty cabin air filter.
It became intermittent.
Work some days.
Work some days for a while and quit working if you turned it off and would not restart.

Actually on 114 degree days I will try keeping Setting on Auto, but raise Temperature Set Point to 90 degrees.

This sounds opposite of what you should do, but today for example, the temperate was 84 degrees outside, but I set the Temperature to 81 degrees, and the A/C still produced cold air. Will see what happens.

:?: Any LEAF owners who experienced their A/C blowing warm air intermittently, have the situation checked by Nissan, and come up with a solution? I'm at the dealership right now and going to have it checked out.

there was an issue with coolant lines leaking but that generally meant no cooling at all.

On mine, it would randomly switch air flow modes making it seem like the A/C stopped when it was actually in split mode "face/foot". Don't remember this happening on my 2011 but it happens frequently on both my 2013 and 2016

Do individual owners of LEAFs, circa: 2011-2012 have issues with AC blowing warm and then having to wait, or shut the car off to get the compressor to get back to blowing cold air? Happens when sitting in idle, park and also in driving modes Eco and Drive. Has anybody else in this Post, who experienced these issues, brought this situation to the Dealer and has there been any resolution to this or is it just keeping your temperature at 60 degrees?

I've had it happen to me on scorching hot days and I'm aware of another Australian LEAF owner who has had it happen to his car too. I've got some compressor DTC codes with LeafSpy but haven't found a cause of the problem yet. Ours are 2012 build models. I feel somewhat better knowing it's not just my car with the problem.

Thank you this is what I do and 114 degrees heat in Arizona which probably is 3 years too late...Listen on these 2011-2012 LEAF's, what I've been doing since I don't have what's called a Leaf Spy App., telling you what the car is thinking because this is a smart car... I just leave the temperature at 60 degrees all the time & not in ECO, but Drive "D", and cabin gets cold, and I shut off manually then, a couple minutes later I put it on and the ac Compressor works again perfectly. It''s almost like it needs a Third (BMS) BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM to manage the Extremely Hot weather out here in Arizona, but I don't think there's anything mechanically or hardware-related flawed with it, I think it's just a design anomaly. I'll keep you posted. We'll see what happens with the 2018 LEAF's, if they can handle the AZ Heat.!

Hi Feng, any updates on a.c. blowing warm intermittently? I provided the following information to a Nissan Leaf Tech at Peoria Nissan in Arizona I'll keep you updated what he says can be done:

"There are settings via Consult 3+ to limit the maximum speed of the compressor while sitting still in traffic or using climate control timer/remote activation. If those settings are low, you could have insufficient cooling while stopped in traffic or using the climate control timer. I paid a diagnostic fee to have the dealer increase the compressor speed limitation settings as high as possible when I took the car in for the complementary 6-month inspection because I wanted the most cooling possible while stopped in traffic or using remote climate control."

This is crap. I can't believe this is actually happening on the newer 2018 models. I'm so glad we didn't buy a new 2018 model thinking that it would solve this problem. I won't buy a new 2019 model either if this problem still persists. I'll just take the 60 kWh battery and put it in my 2011, which Nissan would have to do, based on the Nissan Leaf Battery Degradation Class Action Settlement lawsuit, which says Nissan must use the most current up-to-date model year batteries for battery replacements. We've been dealing with this AC blowing warm intermittenly issue for several years, ever since around 2012. In 2011, everything was great car was ALWAYS blowing cool. Then they did a software update and everything went to crap with their AC system. Here in Arizona where its 115 degrees you can definitely feel when it starts blowing warm. I'm sure if you're in Japan or other cooler countries that never go above 85 Degrees you won't even notice it. Here are the links throughout the years with the same stupid problem:

Attn: Nissan, please run a patch to fix this problem. It's very annoying to have to shut your car off and turn it back on at a stoplight just to have the AC work again

...Anybody with the new 62 kWh Leaf Plus have the same intermittent A/C blowing warm issue?
