I've lost 7 gids and 3% of the battery on my lizard battery in the last month. Just the same as my 2011 battery also has lost 3% in roughly the same timeframe

Edit: 9/2/2015

It is a week later and both cars have lost another 1% respectively.

Both still having same losses

Edit: 9/8/2015

Lizard battery now down 5% in less than 2 months. It lost another 1% in under a week.

The only thing I've been doing differently is not charging to 100% like I did for the first 4 months I owned the car and the summer heat. Definitely a surprise to me when I thought it was doing well and thinking changing to charging to only 70-80% in the summer would benefit it. Maybe it hurt instead?

Just over one year of driving, battery holding up well. I saw some degradation over the summer, I am guessing it will come back once it starts to cool down.

It went to 282, 284, 281 and now 279.

I've lost a full kWh of usable battery from my peak to low in 3,200 miles.

When posting data, can you guys please post date of manufacture?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember reading that early 2015's didn't get Lizard packs.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember reading that early 2015's didn't get Lizard packs.

To the best of my knowledge this is not correct. Every 2015 model should have a lizard pack. I believe there is a statement from Nissan that indicated this when they discussed the battery replacement program. I think the only sure way to know (other than tear it apart), is to get a 292 reading when the pack is new. No other MY leaf has ever read this high. I have an early production 2015 (mfg 4/14) and mine read 292 Gids at 100% capacity until about 7,000 miles. I have about 18,000 now and I'm getting 284 on a full charge.

On the early MY cars 11-14 it looks like Ahr is a pretty reliable indicator. On my 2015 the Ahr seems to fluctuate quite a bit. I've seen as high as 64 and as low as 59 and it has gone up and down. Right now at 284 Gids at 100% charge, I am at about 60.9 Ahr. If you calculate the difference between 292-284 (my current max Gid loss) you could assume a loss of about 2.5% from new. But if you look at Ahr, it is more like 5%, so maybe Ahr take into account some unused capacity of the battery? Not sure if I care to be honest. At the current rate of degradation, my 2015 Leaf should still have all 12 bars by the time I want to sell it in late 2017/early 2018 to make room for my Tesla Model 3.

Had some numbers bouncing around this last month but back up to SOH at 100% and 291 Gids on a few readings now. The car is over 30,000 miles now and I must say I wasn't expecting it to be this steady although I wouldn't be shocked if there's some invisible top end to the battery capacity that explains the first year all showing near identical readings.

I'm really starting to think that you have a 30kwh battery in there and you're some tester for Nissan

The readings do bounce a lot. I don't track them religiously, but they're similar to yours. But in the last week I took some screen shots and it went like this, both at 100%

9/28, 280 GIDs, 21.7 kWh, 59.53 AHr, SOH 95%, Hx 91.76%, @ 73.3 F avg batt temp
10/6, 286 GIDs, 22.2 kWh, 60.83 AHr, SOH 97%, HX 93.91%, @ 64.6 F

Compare that to the values in my signature line. Now at 13.5k miles, 52 QCs, 340 L2s.

Maybe some variation is normal?

Seems to be holding up OK. No loss of range anyway.

Can't complain if the values go back up.

Lizard battery now down 6% in three months. It is loosing capacity at the same rate as my 2011 battery during the same period of time under the same conditions but the lizard battery has traveled less miles.

Evoforce, you may already have reported this, so forgive me if I missed it, but I'm curious about how/where you park your car during the day and during the evenings. When I had my original 2011, it spent its weekdays in a parking garage, but almost all other hours inside my garage. On weekends, it spent most of its time inside the home garage. I now realize that those weekend days were subjecting my battery to prolonged periods of high temperature. Unfortunately those of us in Phoenix don't have much of an alternative, as parking the car in outside in the heat of summer is also subjecting the battery to high temps.

Why would you think this ?

My 2015 reports 278-284 Gids after 13,500 Miles, 64 ah .

I noticed that using the DC charger to 80% a few times brings these figures back up, I also noticed charging on the work Charge point at 6.6 Kw brings these numbers up more than charging at 3.5 kw.

Also when you charge next few times don't use the End timer, let it charge to 100% and leave it a couple of hours and I bet you'll see your gids go back up and possibly your Ah reading. The numbers do vary.

What I don't know is if Gids or Ah gives close to the true capacity in the pack ?

Ok, I will start reporting in the thread (Lizard battery holding up) and answer your questions fully there. Any 2015 owners will also want to track this thread.
