My list of things I'd like to see changed on the Gen 2 LEAF

I cannot understand why the Homelink buttons are not illuminated and have some kind of touch feel code. They (Homelink) have been making them for years for many car companies and have not realized this problem?

I just bought a home in Oceanside, CA. What do I have to do to get the LEAF charging rates? Thanks

The Nissan Leaf is a very reliable and well constructed car

I must say mine has been tremendous, too. Three months, no problems. :D

California's EV car rebate program gets 15 million more 2day

Good for California and Californians. Why I moved to this stupid state of Arizona is beyond me. Our politicians from Brewer on down are a bunch of lying, cheating, crass, stupid bastards* who are doing their best to make sure the rich get richer and to hell with the rest of us - and I'm a legal...

    Light up garage door buttons

I have had several cars with Homelink on the mirror. It is hard to believe the manufacturer has not seen to illuminate them. In the dark, trying to find the correct button is a nightmare.

I Won the Use of a Nissan GT-R for a Day!

Well, it is a monster, but it is very refined. Anyone can drive it and have fun if they use their head.

VW : Electric cars are not suitable for the mass market

Exactly right! VW has been irrelevant for years. The German egos won't allow them to admit when they are wrong - and when their products fail, which is quite often!

    Daytime Running Lights

I have a LEAF and a Juke with auto headlights. I found if you set your auto headlight sensitivity to the max, your auto headlights will come on and stay on day or night. Voila, DRLs all around. Yeah, I know it consumes a few more drops of fuel, but I think tha safety is worth it.

    Water-spotting on Paint

The water spots on the body and windows are probably from acid rain while sitting at the port. I got a GT-R 3 years ago and it sat at the port for a month or two while Nissan was trying to get dealers certified. Another instance where NissanUSA screwed up the deliveries while customers were...

Pollen Car Ready for Delivery, But Bumper Repainted

A couple of things to remember: 1. Bumpers on all cars, not only Nissans can have a slight difference in appearance than the body. A lot of that is due to the material used on the bumpers and the light source. Sometimes they match exactly, but when the direction of the light changes, the color...

Where should the Charging Port be ?

The reason European cars have the gas filler on the right is that a lot of their gas stations are set up close to the road (usually only one pump island) and it is more convenient (and safe) to fill the car on the right side.

New LEAF commerical: 'Gas Powered Everything'

Go Nissan! Bash GM. GM will do anything to kill its competition. Don't feel sorry for GM. As far as I am concerned they earned the right to go bankrupt and should have gotten it.

Nissan get your head out of your bottom

You don't have to take it. Just cancel your order and buy your Tesla. Then leave the forum. I'm sure you won't be missed.

    Orphan Leafs

@derkraut: What "problems" and "shoddy workmanship" are you talking about? Please state facts, not innuendos. I have not had any "problems" with mine and consider the "workmanship" to be fine for its price level. Now, if it were being made in Germany, it would have unreliability problems for...
