How do I get my Cell phone book on to my Leaf?

I have the iPhone 5 - can't get just the subgroup Leaf to download. I've chosen it from the address book on my phone, and even tried choosing it from my phone section of my iphone - no luck. Help! Thanks, LauraA

    After charging

Oh, thanks so much everyone! I understand all of that while driving (climate control etc) but never knew why the full charge "mile" range changed after charging. I also know not to go by that number. I'm an old (67) "grandma" driver in flat country with pretty warm weather (coastal southern...

    After charging

I don't understand what you mean about the number reflecting the way that I drove before I charged the car. This is my second Leaf, and is new. When I picked it up, it was just half way charged, and only had about 40 "miles" showing up. I drove home, charged to 100%, and next morning, fully...

    After charging

I often charge my Leaf to 80%, but sometimes to 100%. Here is my question, if I charge to 100%, and it is fully charged, then why does it sometimes say that it will go 99 or 100 "miles", and other times as low as 89 "miles". Is this due to weather? Don't worry, I know that those aren't actual...

    2013 B Mode

Thanks so much for your reply. I probably won't actually use the B mode - wish that I could pass it on to you! I'm pretty much of a "grandma" driver at 67, and I think that people my age are great with the Leaf! Take care, LauraA

    2013 B Mode

I have a new 2013 Leaf (my second Leaf) and I don't really understand B Mode - even after reading these comments. I live in very flat coastal GA. Is it only really useful with hills? Thanks, LauraA

Have you ever taken a fairly long trip in the Leaf for fun?

I've looked pretty carefully at going south on 95 from my home. It looks like there would be a place to charge (public) about every 50 miles or less. I could pretty much go as far as I wanted, I think. It's funny, because going to the north on 95 wouldn't work well at all. I could start in...

Have you ever taken a fairly long trip in the Leaf for fun?

Yes, EdmondLeaf, getting to Atlanta does seem a little complicated. Also, Davewill, I agree that it would probably not be good to be at someone's home, using their charger for hours and hours. Maybe I could try driving somewhere on highway 95. It actually looks like things would go better if I...

Have you ever taken a fairly long trip in the Leaf for fun?

Do I have to be a SemaCharge member t looks at the locations? I keep trying to go on without joining, and it won't seem to let me. I wouldn't want to join if there were no stations near me, and I'm pretty sure that there are none at any of our Walgreens. Thanks, LauraA

Have you ever taken a fairly long trip in the Leaf for fun?

OK, I don't know what a Blink card is! Also, if the L3 is very rapid charger, then there are none of those anywhere near me. I'm in a good position to do a trip, because I have no real schedule if there was a problem. Still, my nephew in Atlanta also has a Leaf - maybe I should get him to try it...

Have you ever taken a fairly long trip in the Leaf for fun?

Now that I've been introduced to Plugshare, I've been wondering. Have any of you taken long trips using public or home chargers along the way? I know that it's not an ideal way to travel, but it could be a fun adventure. There are so few charging stations in this area (southern GA), but I saw...

Have you ever run out of power in your LEAF?

It is really fun to see all of these answers, and to hear of everyone's adventures! I'm a grandma, and a "grandma driver". Now I have a good excuse to go slow! During the first week that I had my Leaf, I didn't yet have the 220 v charger, and in the afternoon I was picking up my daughter and...

Have you ever run out of power in your LEAF?

I posted a reply, and I'm not sure where it went. Tony, I have had my leaf for nearly a month. It is a 2011, was a demo at Savannah Nissan dealer. I'm 65, retired, have plenty of power to get around my small town, and to get to most places in Savannah. If I need to travel, the dealership rents...

Have you ever run out of power in your LEAF?

I'm just wondering. Has anyone given all the way out of power, or almost all the way out when you weren't near home? If you ran totally out, did you have to be towed? Where did they tow you to? Where do you find outdoor outlets for use with the trickle charge when you're on the road? Would gas...

new leaf owner with a charging question

I don't use too much AC, except maybe in August. When I have passengers, though, especially in the back seat, then they will want it on. This car is so wonderful! Take care, LauraA

    Anyone in Georgia?

This is all very interesting. I live in a small town south of Savannah. My nephew, in Atlanta, has a leaf, and told me that they are very hard to get. I called Vaden Nissan in Savannah, and they had a 2011 white Leaf that was their demo. It had about 600 miles on it, and they sold it to me that...

What vehicle did you trade for your Leaf?

Sold my 2009 Prius, which I had liked - but I am much happier with no gas and no oil. The leaf is my only care, and I plan to rent from the Nissan dealer for road trips. Take care, LauraA

new leaf owner with a charging question

Thanks, Tony, and your chart is so helpful. I never would have understood without it! My nephew, also a Leaf owner, had suggested that it may be good for the battery to let it get pretty low. I think that I could sometimes go for weeks and keep it at around 60 to 70% charged in my small town. Is...

new leaf owner with a charging question

Thanks everyone for all of the helpful advice! I have printed out the range chart, and that, and the other comments, are a great help. As I said, I've just had the Leaf for a couple of weeks, and most of my driving is around my small town. So far, I've driven on the freeway twice. This is my...

new leaf owner with a charging question

Thanks, I did see and sign the paper at the dealers, and I do understand that highway miles will be less. I just didn't understand how to predict or plan. Most of my driving is around a very small town, and it would take me at least a week to go a hundred miles. On occasion, though, I do have to...
