    Kudos to eVgo

I'm sorry, but it's not the most bang for the buck if they charge a "connection" fee of $5 per charge. I understand if they rolled the "connection fee" into the rates e.g. $0.30 a minute instead of $0.20. But to be charged for a "connection" is ridiculous. I'm not considering their...

    Kudos to eVgo

I was actually comparing the gas prices to the usual price of $4-$5 and not to today's prices (cause today's gasoline is not a good comparison since gas will always rise) and gasoline is still cheaper than NRG's rates. $5 initiation fee plus $0.20 a minute is a ridiculous rate. 30 minutes...

Anyone receive their free AV EVSE-RS charging dock?

Just have your electrician add a pig tail on your evse and the matching wall outlet and then it would be a portable (detachable) unit instead of a hard wired one.

You did realize you bumped a 2 year old thread right?

At what price would you buy a used Leaf given the range drop

Same...I regret leasing my 2013 Leaf now due to my longer commute and the poor infrastructure. I never had range anxiety, but charge station anxiety. Too many times stations were iced, broken, or taken which ended up wasting more valuable time (usually had to back track or charge on a slower...

    Kudos to eVgo

They should be providing this type of customer service for the amount they charge to QC... Sorry I don't like evgo with their ridiculous QC charge rates....cost more than gas and I have to wait to fill up. Props for him though for helping other EV drivers.

    Voice Recognition not working?

Sorry for not replying. Didn't know there was a question since I didn't get quoted. The send button I am referring to is the "call/dial" button on the steering wheel.

Charger around Marriott Marquis, San Diego

If you could make the drive and have a quick charge port, I would stop by SDSU off the 8 and juice up before hitting the hotel. It would be like 20-30 minutes to get to 80% from a low charge. Then you can drive around town without worrying to "fill up". It's free by the way.

    Low low price?

If you lease, they calculate the rebate into the price which the dealership pockets later (the advertised price). So they get the $7500 rebate but pass the savings onto you. If you buy, the price would be closer MSRP which you would have to get the tax rebate yourself at the end of the year.

    2013 Bugs & Noises

I have the same "thud" from R to D in the morning or after it has been parked for a while (i.e. after work). I do feel it on the acceleration pedal. If I stop for a little while (i.e. grocery shopping) and pull out from the parking space, no noise is heard. I noticed if I accelerate harder...

    A short Public Charging rant

But how do you know if the spots are filled up while you are away and there are others waiting (i.e. "rush hour charging"). Without waiting in the car or coming back to check, you wouldn't know for sure if there were free stations available or if all of them are taken. Regardless, it would be...

Musk : What the world really needs is a great, affordable EV

I'm guessing Elon is referring to the gas counterpart as: 1. Try to use Credit Card at the pump but get "see cashier" 2. Go in store and realize you're thirsty 3. Get a drink, get in line and wait 4. Realize you want a snack 5. Get a snack, get back in line and wait 6. Pay for the items and gas...
