Website and App - someone tripped over a cord? All down.

Thanks for a cold start to my commute this morning, Nissan. Yes, the site was down when I went to warm up my car. I was also going to charge for about 1/2 hour before leaving because I was a little low for my morning commute. So, I had to really hyper-mile. I'm now plugged in at work. Yes, I...

    Weird Carwings experience

Although, in my experience to date, Carwings has been accurate and matched my dashboard, I has a weird occurrence today. I was charging at 120V at work, as usual. I got the usual email and phone text message that my charging completed. Today it was at 3:33 pm. The email reported the usual 10/12...

    EVSE upgrade very helpful

LEAFer, I have a 2001 PT Cruiser that I drove in the interim. It is now in storage in my garage. I live near Syracuse in Central NY.

    EVSE upgrade very helpful

I agree. EVSE upgrade is the most cost effective. It is also very portable in the event one moves. I had an interesting time working with my employer about charging at work. I was willing to pay if I had to, I just wanted to be able to charge at work. At first I argued that others used...

    Is this Solar Deal good??

Yes. That's a very good price per Watt. I just did a system in New York State under a Solarize program that was $4.30/W. There were other incentives available to me that aren't available in your Solarize program, but that is still a good price. You can google Solarize to find other programs...

Which Level 2 EVSE should I get??

Don't get a charger at all. Put in a 240v L6-20 socket and get and evse upgrade - http://evseupgrade.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - very inexpensive and very portable.

    Owners Portal down 11/5/2012

I'm getting nothing but errors trying to connect to the owner's portal. It looks like Nissan is updating the site - there is a reference to an "exclusive" new portal at https://owners.nissanusa.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - It doesn't matter if I try to connect to the old...

    Noisy hatchback - anyone else.

Had a cold morning this week. Amazingly it does appear to be the little rope supporting the cargo cover. I can't believe how much of a noise that little string, really, can make. I think I will try a minimal amount of silicone spray and wait for another cold day. Thanks, EricBayArea!

    Noisy hatchback - anyone else.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure it's not the cargo cover, but I'll check.

    Noisy hatchback - anyone else.

Since I bought the Leaf, the hatchback seems to catch just a bit when you first open it and make a sort of a groan at the same time. I'd been thinking about taking it in for warranty service. Then today, with the morning temperature at 51 degrees F. as I left - no noise. It seems to be a...

    USB drive organization

I've confirmed iTunes as the source of the problem. I ripped a brand new CD to files last night, and copied the files to my USB drive. As expected, the Leaf doesn't show them correctly. I'm sure once I go in and "touch" the MP3 tags from Windows, things will be fine. Although Apple makes...

    New York here...

There is a Blue SL available at Burdick Nissan in Cicero/North Syracuse where I bought my Silver Leaf. I'm told that the MSRP with included accessories is $38,100 and that is what they'll sell it for. If you're interested, send me a private message so I can hook you up and get the referral fee...

    USB drive organization

Thanks tps! You're right - Sort of. It's not how current the tag version is, but it is the tag version. All the songs that the Leaf won't properly display are listed by the MP3tag program as "!BAD ID3v2". Curiously, the Windows 7 Explorer view shows valid info in all fields even before modifying...
