There's a sucker born every minute. It's just like my '13 Leaf SV in terms of equipment (no CHAdeMO but has the premium package). However, I'm still at 11 capacity bars (SOH around 79.xx%) and have about 68.2K miles. Wow. From the Carfax, it was built 5/31/2013 so it has the same built month as mine (mine was built 5/23/2013). I guess the previous drivers didn't take good care of the battery.jpadc said:Well, on the topic of buying a used LEAF... every now and again I like to shop for them just to see what's out there. More and more of the used ones seem to be picked up by (a.k.a being dumped by) Carrvana).
Today I found this 2013 LEAF SV for sale there with ~64K for $7590.
Now I've never seen a LEAF with only 6 bars left for sale until this one.[/img] The Carfax raves that the last owner drove less the 4000 miles a year. I was thinking that at about 30 miles a charge, it would take some time to get 4000 miles on that car.
Anyway, the only up with Carvana is that at least an unsuspecting buyer might figure out in the 7 day return period that the car they just bought will not go far from home. Anyone want to chime in on what they think the car is really worth?
That's a crazy high price. At this point, I'd be happy if I got $6K for my car. I tried submitting mine to Carvana for a quote on 11/28/20 and received an offer of $4,262 and I'd answered "pretty good" for their grade in terms of physical condition.
I'd say that car at Carvana is worth $4K or less since it's lost so much capacity. Carvana and most places seem to not factor in or have any clue about battery condition.
I found a 4 capacity bar left '11 Leaf at a Hon-duh dealer that I pointed to at https://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?p=552310#p552310.
