Interesting since my dealer is telling me that it will be no more than 4.9% (.00204) for my lease, be it 36, 39 or 48 months. I'm Tier 1 (800+) credit also.

My credit score was 808 as well. And the "best" rate I could get for a 48 month lease was .00329 (7.90%). My dealer stated on the lease, they had no way of adjusting the money factor. Since I have supper low financing through my work, I changed from a lease to purchase.

I would double check with them. They offered teh 4.9% for 3 years...did not check on a 39M, but it got bumped up to 7.9% at 48M. It was a...you got to be kidding me moment. I have 1.52% financing for 7 years (Credit Unon employee discount), so no way could I justify the 7.9%.

I also have a high credit rating and the money factor of 0.00204 was the same for all the lease terms offered. I could have gone with a 24/15k or a 48/12k it would not have changed the money factor. I went with a 36/12k by the way.

With a 800+ you should have gotten the Tier 0 which is .00204x2400=4.9%

Anything higher then a 740 should be on the Tier 0.

I have the Nissan Leaf lease program sheet in hand. But there is a line at the bottom that states. MF Mark-Up Allowed under all leases from 24-48. I am not sure why they would mark up the rate when Nissan is pushing the $350 lease rate on a Leaf SV

I'll have to see the whole sheet - but I can't get the numbers you specify with the best rate.
evnow you will have to use the Tier 1 rate of .00224 or the Tier 2 rate of .00264 to get what they are saying.

Actually, I just checked with them this last Monday and that is what I was quoted in writing.

with interest rates that low, i would have purchased as well. i feel confident that the Leaf will be worth more than its residual in 3 years.

You would lease at 4.9% or are you saying you would buy?

Hard to say, I was on the fence for a long time, and the rate they quoted me pushed me into the buy side. I guess I'll know for sure in 4 years ;). I hope they made an honest mistake with the rate.

Theres at least 7 people that took delivery and leased, but almost no one has posted here. I'd like to hear what people are paying because I think my quote is very high.

this is repost from "other lease" thread

this lease is strange. making me think i should have stuck with buying.

how is the "rent" charge figured? this is what is paid as far as interest on the lease?

on my lease, the rent charge is 3942.15 which is not really that much lower than his. in essence, that is the money i saved by providing a much larger downpayment. just under 1100 saved.

that would essentially be my finance charge if i purchased the Leaf at the end of lease.

on mine

section 4
a) 16976.39
b) 162.11
e) 211.50
h) 150
i) 2.50

section 5
a) 34565
b) 16976.39
c) 17588.61
d) 15694.80 residual
e) 1893.81 this plus down payment is the "principal" paid
f) 3942.15 this is rental fee???
g) 5835.96

**edit** ok, took a while to install picasa.... so here is lease.

Link should be fixed, sorry about that. My rental cost is $2,650.56.

I wanted to point out again that all the numbers on my lease were exactly what I expected and computed from all of the great help on this forum. The only "gotcha" that I experienced was the $300 purchase option fee that I did not see mentioned.

Did anyone order using the lease option and you got an email confirmation letter. I need it for something I am working on. If do have the latter or screen shot of you dashboard PM me please.
