BIG DAY! Call this morning from my PD and went to pick up my LEAF at 5pm. I was the first LEAF delivery for the specialist and he wanted to be very thorough with instructions and explanations. It was good review for us and I learned a few new things too.

Here's a photo of me and my partner, Dennis. My sister gave me the LEAF bag for Christmas and it came in handy carrying my papers, plate frame, etc. For Christmas, Dennis had the huge blue and silver ribbon made and put it on the driveway for a surprise. He wanted the LEAF to be under it. That was not to happen. So he took it today and put it on top. It was silly!! Love the Ocean Blue today. Seems to be a lot to learn about the Nav System, setting up charging, and all the other gadgets. Very happy we made this purchase!! No Gas! Solar Powered Driving!

Might as well pile on this thread - picked up mine this evening from Boardwalk Nissan in Redwood City. Nate gave a very nice overview of the car (though there is still a lot to set up!) and the overall experience was very low-key and pleasant. I'd recommend them for sure... The drive home was rainy but still fun, though I messed up on my imagined soundtrack as I didn't bring my iPod or program the radio before leaving. Therefore was stuck with "Love is in the Air" on XM for the trip down Woodside Road. At least it was a nice sentiment.

I tried the charge timer, but set it early so I could observe. Everything went off without a hitch with my ClipperCreek EVSE and it was done after a couple of hours. Very nice so far!

Great to hear, Rich. Yours looks just like ours will, soon, I hope. I doubt that there'll be a bow, but who knows, perhaps as a surprise...

Chalk up another proud new owner! Picked it up from Mossy Nissan. Had the most pleasant experience and Leon is a dream to deal with.

We've had the car for about 4 hours now and it really is awesome. Hope everyone gets theirs soon!

And, yet another new Leaf owner here. I picked up mine yesterday from Boardwalk Nissan in Redwood City. I received a very thorough run through by Melina although she was a bit in error on the use of the USB interface and the three charging light indicators. Regardless, there is a lot to understand about the car and overall I give her and Boardwalk high marks.

So far, quite happy except for the intense plastic odor. This is way beyond typical "new car smell". I assume this will pass shortly. Now I've got to find some nice seat covers. Any recommendations out there?

Just took delivery of our Silver SL from Premier Nissan in Fremont. Thanks Mandy. Wife loves it. Now to apply for the tax credits, wait for the CA carpool stickers, and wait for EcoTality to come on out.

This may be the first car that forces us to read the owners manual. So much to learn.
