I have a 2014 that does not have a Lizard, but the way the degradation was almost nil for the first 15K miles and how it rapidly degraded to the extent I have the same capacity in this 2014 model now (230 gids on a full charge at 36k and 24 months) as my previous 2011 model in that same time frame and mileage.

It does look like there was one kWh or two hidden that was released slowly that gave an illusion that there was no degradation initially, and this will also put me over the warranty mileage of 60k miles before I lose the 4th bar.

it does smell like a variation of diesel-gate

I'm assuming that you've lost a bar on your 2014 if you are getting 230 Gids on a full charge? If you are getting this low on a 2014, I do have to say that I think the 2015 cars are doing slightly better. I don't anticipate losing another 35 Gids in the next 14K miles on my car, but you never know.

what's the manufacturing date? The lizard battery was introduced in 2014 and there is speculation that a portion of 2014 leafs or all 2014 leafs could have the "lizard" pack.

I suppose there should be a way to check the pack part number but that might involve dropping the pack to get access to the part labels.

Manufacturing date is around mid Jan 2014, and I picked it up Jan 30th 2014.

you probably have a better battery but not Lizard. a bit too early I think

I guess here is as good a place as any to post the stats for my new pack:

12/28/15: AHr=42.14 CAP=64.24% Hlth=43.02%. Mileage: 56,575. Old pack
12/30/15: AHr=63.80 CAP=97.26% Hlth=100.00% Hx=100.00% Gids=277. Mileage: 56,588. New Pack.

I don't seem to be starting with as high an AHr reading as some new 2015 packs have exhibited, but I'm going to wait and see what develops after a few months of charging.

My pack is an "E" revision, and my service adviser seems to think that the "D" revisions are packs with cold weather and the "E" versions are packs without. As expected, I was not given the IC card for programming the pack's ID into the VCM.

My pack is an "E" also, but I started with 66+ AHr; took about 4 weeks for mine to show up. I posted my stats in the "Battery Replacement" thread.

guessing someone has already looked at this but have you tried changing LEAF Spy parameters to see if that changes anything like GID values?

Lizard car @

AHr 56.84
SOH 89%
SOC 92.4
Hx 83.47%
393.82V
odo 30,309 mi
GIDs 247

+++++++++++++++++++++++Mileage on new battery is 8,036 miles. Car is at 11% calendar tracking loss for the year

8 bar car is still waiting for new battery from dealer now at 5 1/2 weeks. Car is getting 40ish miles on surface streets at 45mph and under.

8 bar car (original battery) @

AHr 41.82
SOH 63%
SOC 87.5%
Hx 42.49
391.78V
odo 38,996 mi
GIDs 162

22 QC & 1386 L1/L2s

===========================Car is at 8% loss for the same calendar year time frame tracking and mileage of 9,453

(Lizard car) ended up with 3% more loss (11% total) during the same calendar time frame for the year than (8 bar car) (8% total) during comparison testing under the same relative conditions with (lizard car) traveling 1,417 less miles than (8 bar car)

Nissan would call it an outlier ;)

Here are the stats from Leaf DD on my 2011 with new lizard battery installed July, 2015. (This is the car owned by MX5Racer in California and I bought to Arizona.)
Full Charge 1/10/2016:
Gids 248
S = 93.3852
C = 56.5714
H = 82.93

When I first got the car in September, max gids was 279. It has dropped to the current 248 reading in 4 months. It is definitely concerning, but I keep going back to TickTock's experience as noted in the opening post.

My car doesn't have quick charge.

Congratulations Mike :D
Bet you're glad to not have to charge at work.

Your CAP is called SOH in current Leaf Spy.
Why do you prefer the old version :?:

I still continue to be unimpressed with how my Lizard battery is holding up... See the numbers in my sig...

And for only $11,296.74, it could be mine on March 1st at end of lease! :lol:

Hey, in the car my Lincomatic is still my go-to meter! Everything I need on one display page, easy to read, in sight, and always on...

I don't really know. I just do. And, actually, while in the car I still prefer my good ol' Gidometer!

well heck then, I ought to go take our early 2011 in - down just 2 bars @ 60K miles ... someone must have forgotten to to tell us to get in line for the new battery! Woo hoo !!
;)

I am glad I sold my 2011, 27k miles /w replacement pack for $11,500 last month. Thank you, Nissan for building the first high volume BEV. But, I am done with Nissan. As Elon said you should have had a TMS, like every other BEV on the road.

Wow, you actually snagged a pretty good price for it. It's not worth nearly that much (IMHO), considering how much my used '13 Leaf SV w/premium cost ($9,325 + tax and license).

Actually, there are some other BEVs w/no battery TMS like the VW e-Golf.
