Easy for me, I didn't spend $30k on a Gen1 LEAF that makes those promises look like a joke.OrientExpress said:LTLFTcomposite said:"Let me try to explain..."2011RedLeaf said:As I watch videos from Nissan I ran into this one which casts doubt on anything Nissan says.
A lot of water has gone under the bridge since that video was made seven years ago. Instead of dwelling on the past, try to focus on the present and the solutions available today.

And regardless of what any Nissan rep says in the future, the warranty limits likely set the date for battery replacement if not the junk yard.Nubo said:2011RedLeaf said:As I watch videos from Nissan I ran into this one which casts doubt on anything Nissan says.
Wait and see what the new battery warranty is. Regardless of what Mr. Perrry was saying at the time, it was clear to anyone who cared to read the warranty that capacity reduction wasn't covered and therefore there was a significant risk to the early adopters.

But why wouldn't a smart shopper remember than Nissan lied to and screwed generations of owners ?
Your two statements above contradict each other.SageBrush said:...My next car is a Tesla. I want a company that will stand behind its product...
Nissan has of course gone far beyond the original warranty it gave those of us who purchased Gen one LEAFs, both by issuing a capacity bar warranty, and subsidizing replacement costs for virtually all Gen one owners that did not lose dash bars fast enough to get free replacement packs, under that warranty.SageBrush said:...Anybody thinking about this LEAF2 better read the battery warranty carefully and expect Nissan to not give one inch more than the letter of the contract specifies. And expect the battery to not exceed the warranty limits...

Tesla has not said anything about "Jan 2018 customer" deliveries, and there's no link to another forum with such a quote, correct?
