Charger Rebate?

I've heard rumblings here and there of a possible charger rebate? Does anyone have any information about that? If it exists, is that a local thing (i'm SF Bay Area)?

For the Bay Area only (may be others elsewhere), the last I heard it is likely, but not final, and no implementation date set. See this thread:
