I would say that the Nissan dealer told you correctly. I work at an Infiniti dealer and all of our vehicles that are MY13 and newer are this way. Once the key has been programmed, it cannot be programmed to another vehicle. Your existing key that is programmed to your car is not 'de-programmed'...
I work at an Infiniti dealer. The only way to do the job right is to remove the carpet, thoroughly clean the floor, and clean or replace the carpet. Carpet replacement should be covered under warranty since the cause of the moldy carpet was a warrantable defect.
Run, run away. Btw, the Li-ion battery does have a breather on the external case, so there is a possibility that salt water could have penetrated the case if the water was deep enough.
Brake fluid is hydroscopic - it absorbs moisture over time through air molecules that enter through the rubber brake lines and seals. This lowers the boiling point of brake fluid, so under heavy/hard braking there is a higher likelihood of boiling the fluid.
Bulletin NTB13-069 was just released on 7/12 to fix this issue: "Customer states that HV battery charger of an applied vehicle will not complete charging AND the EV warning light is on......".
Why on earth would they do an evac and recharge on the A/C system if there is nothing wrong? It's not like refrigerant goes 'bad' over time inside the system.
All of the above, lol. I didn't know if any of the camera stuff (actual camera, camera bracket, wiring, etc) was in the way as far as drilling holes, etc.
I am assuming this won't work with a '13 SL with around view monitor?
Also, will the JDM illuminated kick plates work on US Leafs? I know from installing these on Infinitis' that they plug into the BCM. Since the BCM would be on the opposite side (RH vs LH drive) would these work on our Leafs...
Yea, I already have the holographic ones. If you look closely at the Japanese version, the 'zero emission' looks like it is illuminated with blue leds - very similar to accessory kick plates on current Infiniti models.
