Hi, the voltage is the same as in the cigarete plug..I think you just have bad voltage converter.I got cheap one from ebay and works great.For fire hazard and radio noise always wrap with thick aluminum foil and ground if possibe.

Hello, my suggestion : make programmable by owner in touch screen settings menu- Drive or Brake mode on the selector as default instead current Drive mode. I use B mode and I found very smooth to drive the Leaf almost never use the brake to slow down (inspired by Tesla) . cheers, Tom
