Tour of 5 DFW evGo DC quick charge stations

Thank-you for your trip notes...very interesting and informative. I was at the quick-charge station at the Walgreens across from Cowboy Stadium on Thursday and it is now functioning. I'm told by the EvGo guys that more stations should be coming quickly in DFW. They experienced delays largely...

    Drive Electric Tour in DFW

I haven't seen too much mention of the Drive Electric Tour sponsored by Nissan, coming back to Texas. Folks who don't have one yet can ride, drive, and get information straight from the manufacturer. It's at the Fort Worth Alliance Air Show on October 21, 22, and 23, 2011. Go to...

Just so everyone who might read this knows...I think it's wrong to tell someone a product is one price, and then charge them a higher price when they come to buy it. In the automobile business, I think it's wrong to lead someone to believe a vehicle is one price, and not tell a potential buyer...

    DFW Metroplex

I'm stuck on this nitrogen thing. I see hundreds of vehicles a day, and I've seen them with and without nitrogen filled tires. With the nitrogen in the tires, there is a significant reduction in the number of times I'll jump in a vehicle (on a cold morning) and see the TPMS warning light on...

    DFW Metroplex

Nitrogen machines suck all the air and moisture out of tires and replace with dry, virtually 100%, Nitrogen. That process results in a more consistant tire pressure, which means the tire pressure monitoring systems aren't activated as much due to outside air temperature fluctuations. It's an...

Cold Weather Nissan Leaf info! ($930 MSRP, can order now)

I haven't seen a pricing sheet on the Cold Weather LEAF's , but the base MSRP on the SL-CW I quoted was $34,650 which is $930 more than the base MSRP on a 'plain' SL.

Cold Weather Nissan Leaf info! ($930 MSRP, can order now)

They are orderable, Nissan is listing LEAF SV CW, and LEAF SL CW, on the Dealer Order Management System, and I have fielded one RAQ for a "Cold Weather" LEAF. I don't know whether any production models have actually come out of the assembly plant yet though.

There may be slightly different new car registration fees for different counties in Texas, but here goes: Title Fee--$34.00, License Fee--$64.80, Road and Bridge Fee--$10.00, Deputy Fee--$5.00, and 2-yr State Inspection--$23.75 In addition, there is a documentation fee for processing the...

Lease Buyout - was: (Who pays for $7500 when leasing?)

While I don't have any particulars to review, the answer should be in your lease agreement. The buyout amount is set by NMAC over the course of the lease. The dealer (any Nissan dealer) administers the buyout, but the costs are dictated by your lease agreement. The dealer typically takes the...

Security+Plus plans for the Nissan LEAF

Nissan backed F&I Products and Services have registered trademark names. Security+Plus, Maintenance+Plus, QualityGuard+Plus, Dent Rescue, EquityGuard+Plus are all names of these services backed by Nissan. The term "Extended Warranty" is one that 'technically' can only be used to identify a...

Are Leafs on hold at Long Beach or are they being released?

I've got eight LEAF's showing VIN's in our Order Management System. One delvered at the end of March, but the others went into HOLD status and have been there about a week. Three have have had the HOLD released today, and have new ETAs (for the last week of April, first part of May). The OMS...

Nissan: restart problems reported in Leaf electric cars

There have been several vehicles I'm watching that have been released from their HOLD status, and are now showing ETA's in the dealer Order Management System. Nissan has never said why the LEAF's were being held at the port of entry, but that they are moving again is good news. Nissan has...

Are Leafs on hold at Long Beach or are they being released?

There is a NNA (Nissan North America) "HOLD" status showing on all the LEAFs I'm expecting in through May, but there has been no change to their (stated) ETA's. Nissan has a normal process where they can put a "HOLD" status on an incoming vehicle, or group of vehicles, while they fix an issue...

    May Deliveries! Or... May(be)?

There was a LEAF memo that went to dealers a week, or so, ago announcing an email campaign where they would notify LEAF reservationists of changes in their production status due to the disaster in Japan. There were three email templates that did not include any specifics. The first email went...

    Orphan Leafs

This is correct. On-line dealer inventory is largely an automated process, complete with stock photos and standard equipment listings. VIN's will provide most of the coded information that will 'explode' into a web listing as soon as a vehicle hits the DMS (dealer management system). The...
