55 mile commute each way... Is Leaf even an option?

This commute would leave no margin for error. If you're time is worth anything to you, just buy a Prius and get in on EVs in the next generation.

Sacramento area Leafs, how far have you driven?

For the SMUD QC on 65th streeet, does the "pump" accept a regular credit card or do we need some RFID card for it?

SACRAMENTO AREA Charging: Arden Fair Mall??

The closest I am aware of is the Walgreens on Arden and Howe. Arden Fair does have two EV parking spots with older chargers. I have not heard if they plan to upgrade these. Recargo is great resource for finding chargers. You can filter by J1772 to get accurate picture of chargers in the area...

Nissan to double US sales of electric Leaf: Ghosn

I could see this happening with some quick chargers popping up, otherwise I could imagine quite a few of the LEAF sales becoming Focus EV sales as it can charge at twice the speed.

    2012 Leaf - 6.6kW - Any Release Date Info

I wish this were true. :( There are more than twenty J1772 chargers around may area, many in convenient locations. I do a fair amount of public charging but am usually disappointed to find that I only gain 10-20 miles with a typical convenience charge. It would be great to get the 20-40 miles...

Walgreens Installing 800 Charge Stations before 2012

I stopped by one of the two in Folsom at the Riley and Glenn Wallgreens yesterday at lunch and charged up for free using my ChargePass RFID card.

Many new chargers popping up in Sacramento area

These chargers are ChargePoint chargers, so I needed my ChargePass RFID card. So far they are free though I don't think they can build a business model around that.

Many new chargers popping up in Sacramento area

I noticed a new charger pop up on the ChargePoint map in Sacramento (Wallgreens at Howe and Arden). My wife and I went out Friday night and charged there for almost two hours while we ate at Chili's and then did some shopping in the Wallgreen's. I wrote a thank-you email to [email protected]...

Sacramento area meeting at Nissan facility

I will be there. :) I won't need QC but would be interested in giving it a shot if it's unused.

How often would you use the Vacaville, CA Quick Charge?

For what its worth I would charge 4-6 times per year and would be willing to pay up to $20 for the convenience.
