Congrats! Mine will hit 4 years in April, just under 30K miles, and I still have all 12 bars too. I started charging to 100% every time after they did that big software change that significantly reduced the regen so it's been a couple of years. I've never turtled it either, and I've used the...
I absolutely need the headroom and I still touched the ceiling in the Tesla S after running the seat all the way down so the difference is real. The LEAF headroom is just wonderful, I wish they'd make more cars like that. It has more headroom than the Toyota Tacoma I used to drive!
Don't know this company but found this link: http://nationalcarcharging.com/products-page/product-category/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
They email it to you.
I don't really see how they can deliver a realistic DTE gauge function until the range goes way up. Right now the car would have to be able to see into the future to give you an accurate estimate.
I had a similar problem at my dealer and they are really up on the LEAF. Once I explained it turned out the person on the phone thought I had said "lease", not LEAF. So maybe it's not that scary after all.
It's strange that the author gets that the real appeal is the driving experience but doesn't list that as a reason for people buying them now. The no gas attracted me but the overall experience is what makes me sure I've bought my last gas only car.
So how do you use them? We have one at our local Walgreens in Seattle and I couldn't figure it out. The charge handle was firmly attached to the charger, pulling did nothing. Pushing the silver release button on the charge handle didn't do anything either. I tried putting my Chargepoint and...
Congrats on the new Leaf and welcome! This link should take you to the facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/seattlenissanleaf/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
So who took their Leaf out into the snow today? I went from Northgate to West Seattle and had no problems...
So how come the author of the article says so little about improving the grid? Seems like the obvious solution and one that will be needed whether EVs are successful or not.
I'm curious how you could tell the ICE was running. Since the ICE only generates electricity (at slow speeds), it's not like the ICE kicking on in a Toyota Hybrid where you can obviously feel it. I drove a Volt that had a depleted battery pack and couldn't feel or hear the ICE at all. I...
I love the headroom in the front seat of the Leaf, better than my last 4 vehicles. It's nice to actually be able to see out of the car without slouching!
