Winter is here for good. I have access to a 2011 LEAF for a week but manual is missing. So, how does one pre condition a LEAF ? TIA

Push the Zero Emissions button, then push Climate Control Timer. All of the settings are in there. You can also access pre-heating through carwings (phone or through nissan's web site).

It's a good idea to set the charging end timer as well. You'll want the charging to finish just before you leave so the pack is still warm. It may take a little experimenting to get the time right since the end timer doesn't work very well on the LEAF. It usually finishes charging several hours before it's supposed to.

One can also get them directly from Nissan's web site: https://owners.nissanusa.com/nowners/navigation/manualsGuide" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Yeah, this car has more manuals than the Space Shuttle. I keep thinking I should just keep the PDFs on my iPhone so I don't have to lug all that weight around -- and actually have room in the glove box for more than a box of tic-tacs.
