Wondering how people feel about this. We all know that the leaf tech has fallen behind a bit. But it is still a solid, reliable and well screwed together EV. Should and will Nissan have a 2023 new generation leaf in their lineup? My opinion is yes.

Fire away.

I don't care what it is called, but if it is true that 62 kWh+ packs have much better degradation curves than smaller pack models and the practical effect of a passive pack is slow DC charging, then I think an EV that trades off DC charging speed for a low(er) price has a place in the market. And it should go without saying that such a car in the US be CCS rather than CHAdeMO.

But then we can ask, how much cheaper does it have to be ? A WAG would be $5k

Nissan might do well offering the Zoe along with the Ariya. A small, relatively inexpensive runabout would be more clearly a different category than the Ariya.
