FYI to others waiting. My May 06 delivery data came and went. CS said the car was in Long Beach port waiting in line for accessories to be added. The accessories themselves are apparrently at the port, but take additional time. The additional software update of course added a bit of wait. So based on other's comments, they will want to have a full train car, which adds some delay, and then based on others comments it apparrently takes 10 to 14 days to travel by train to its ultimate destination (loading, unloading, local truck transport, etc...)
BTW, I reserved at about 11am on 4/20 but couldn't order until Nov. I sold my 96 Buick Roadmaster wagon that had 75K miles to my neighbor. I loved that car. But going electric is worth the switch. I just wish Nissan offered simulated wood panels and a third seat in the back. And a roof panel. And a LT-1, well, maybe not the LT-1.
Anywho, I hope this helps others who are patiently waiting. Your comments have eased my wait and I appreciate your thoughtful responses. Hopefully, some day EVs will be everywhere and we'll wonder what the fuss was about. My elementay school daughters asked me what technology changes I experienced when I was a kid. They're excited about the electric car, but take it a bit for granted. I thought back to my youth and at first said it was moving from black and white tv to color. But then I remembered an even bigger technical leap for me was going from a rotary phone to a push button. The kids didn't know what I was talking about.
Here's to the new Leafmaster.
