Just got off of the phone with NHTSA 1-888-327-4236 and was told by Jackie that anyone can indeed file a complaint for, in NHTSA's words, "any defective component on a vehicle" (log # for phone conversation 473499). I asked her if this meant only safety items and she responded no, any issue, period. She stated also that an investigation would depend on the number of similar compalints reported. One can call or use the website. As of this morning there are only 8 filed complaints.

Everyone also should make sure and check out TonyWilliam's perfect summary of options regarding contacts for those complaints at http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=9694" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Wow... posting this in the other 3 threads you already have them in wasn't enough? :shock:

Guess not if only 8, out of 50+ battery loss reports on Wiki, have filed! Simple math really.

Please post such things in the appropriate related threads. We do not need multiple threads that end up converging into the same discussions. Let's not make the forum more of a landfill then it already is with some topics. I'm almost positive those with these issues read specific threads already.

Might help if, since you gave them proof finally, you gave them time to respond.
