New Jersey Credits?

Just trying to get a sense of what the tax credits are for NJ. A quick google search seemed to indicate that you get the 7.5k Fed credit, an additional up to 4k NJ state income tax credit, plus an additional up to 1k NJ credit for the charging station.

Am I reading that correctly or am I missing something?

My understanding is that the car is exempt from sales tax up to 4k, not a state income tax credit. I live in NY and am considering buying in NJ for that very reason.

Won't work, unfortunately. As soon as you went to register the car in NY, they'd hit you up for the sales tax.

Ugh. Guess I will have to wait for NY to get their own credits. The price of these cars are just too cost prohibitive.
