As an FYI, it is possible to swap newer gen headlights into older cars (and probably vice-versa). Here’s what I have and did:



Edit: Actually, I don’t think I made that drawing—I think I just used it to figure stuff out. I put a 2015 LED headlight into an original 2012. They have similar wiring but different connectors. It was really easy though, and waaay cheaper than the 2012 headlight (presumably due to availability). Long story short, if you have the skill to swap a headlight, you can make the connectors work.
