hooking up at RV site

I need a Nema L1450 to a Nema L6-20 to hookup at an RV park that I'm going to. I bought a L-620 at Lowes and I found a Nema L-1450 online for $20 but it has 4 wires, a black, a red, a white and a green. The Nema L-620 has only 3 connectors. Can I wire the 1450 to a L-620?

Just connect the two hot and ground. (x,y & G in the diagrams) No neutral connection.
In fact you can leave the netrual pin out of the 14-50 and it will also fit the 14-30 used for dryers in newer construction.

It doesn't take much skill to hack off the 5-15P, and put a L6-20P on.... so little skill, that it is a big warranty claim issue for Nissan. Customer comes in with smoked EVSE that he managed to plug into 240 volts.... warranty claim denied.
