I paid $125 to have it appraised, so at least I didn't lose money by going that route. I still don't feel it was a fair settlement though. It's already hard to find a buyer for a used Leaf, so couple that with the Leaf having a tainted accident history - no matter how minor - and that's the kiss of death for its resale value.
Oh well, I guess that's the risk we take. I'll be driving this car until it dies anyway so I'm not too concerned about the payout amount. The car is fixed, no blemishes, no squeaks, it's basically back to brand new condition so I can't complain. It was just a frustrating ordeal to go through and I wanted to share the experience.
