Fuji is plastic, so it's way lighter!

Dyden is heavy metal, like Yazaki, but Dyden has FAR more flexible "hose" than Yazaki.
I like the connected (or is it charging?) light above the button on the Fuji; does the Dyden have one also (it's hard to be sure from the photo)?

CHAdeMO has requested that anyone who has information on US DC charger locations report directly to the DOE database below.

It is currently showing only 81 US CHAdeMO stations, and for example, only four in Phoenix, rather than the seven previously reported by LEAFfan.

http://www.afdc.energy.gov/locator/stations/#results?utf8=%E2%9C%93&location=&filtered=true&fuel=ELEC&owner=all&payment=all&ev_dc_fast=true&radius_miles=5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You can use this link to a template to submit your report:

http://www.afdc.energy.gov/locator/stations/#places/new" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This email is from the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Clean Cities Technical Response Service in response to your email regarding DC fast electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) listings in the Alternative Fuels Data Center (AFDC) Station Locator (http://www.afdc.energy.gov/locator/stations/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).

Thank you for bringing these stations to our attention. To add stations to the AFDC Station Locator, you may use the online webform (http://www.afdc.energy.gov/locator/stations/places/new" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) or send the station information directly to the Technical Response Service ([email protected]). If you choose to submit the station directly to the Technical Response Service, please include the following information:

Station Name

Station Address

Station Phone

Number of Outlets

Charging Level (i.e., Level 1, Level 2, DC Fast)

Station Manufacturer

Station Access (i.e., public, private)

Hours of Accessibility (for public stations only)

Forms of payment (if payment required)

Point of Contact (kept internal for annual database

I'd suggest you only submit those stations that you have personal experience with.

a glance at the website makes me feel much better about our #'s since the web site's list is VERY incomplete.

Yes. It looks to me that if you and others submit reports, and the DOE is able to verify them, the total should probably be in the ~120 to ~140 range.

I'd also suggest that anyone submitting reports, please copy them and post here, to save others the trouble of duplicating them.

Hoping that the US government site will be up to date (even with our help) seems silly. The data is available on crowd sourced sites like Plugshare.

Just make the list here with the data they want, then we can send Chademo one email with the whole list. There just aren't that many yet to worry about. NOTE: Blink counts their DC chargers as 2 each, but they are only really one charger.

Latest Count from CHAdeMO:

The number of CHAdeMO DC Quick charger installed up to today is 1693.

DOE USA site count now up to 87:

http://www.afdc.energy.gov/locator/stations/#results?utf8=%E2%9C%93&location=&filtered=true&fuel=ELEC&owner=all&payment=all&ev_dc_fast=true&radius_miles=5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But there are clearly many more than this in the USA. Please submit your own reports for the DCs NOT YET on the DOE database, using this link to to submit your report:

http://www.afdc.energy.gov/locator/stations/#places/new" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Would anyone who has reported a CHAdeMO at that site, please report back as to the results?

Did your site report show up on the map? How long did it take?

AFAIK, the reason CHAdeMO requested we make reports to the DOE, is that CHAdeMO does not have the resources to verify US CHAdeMO locations, and to put it bluntly, they would not take reports directly from us any more seriously than they do those from plugshare and other open source databases, which tend to have a large numbers of errors.

The number of CHAdeMO DC Quick charger installed up to today is 1881.

And 92 US CHAdeMOs shown at:

We now have 8 Blink QCs with 4 more going in soon at the other Sears Auto Stores and will have one EVGO ($4/hr. for LEAFs, $12.50/hr. for Teslas) at Picacho Peak this month.

DOE map presently shows only Five for Phoenix, and the CHAdeMO map shows only three.

There is also a new notice from CHAdeMO about new site submissions, so contrary to what I posted about what I was told previously, maybe they now will accept site reports directly from you, if you want to add the Phoenix sites, or for anyone else worldwide, your known CHAdeMO sites not on the map.

The location maps above are made based on our research and the information from CHAdeMO members and people visited our website. Please notify us by e-mail ( [email protected]) if there is any new location information.

Go to:

(and select "Location" or "Charger Location Map" from left menu)

PS:

The CHAdeMO Map also shows Three more in Hawaii and one in Toronto...

What a bunch of clowns... The official CHAdeMO site doesn't have accurate stuff.

There are several DC chargers in Southern California, one that's been there for almost two years.

Santa Ysabel (San Diego) - Blink
San Juan Capistrano (Orange County) Fuji (Evoasis / ChargePoint)
Diamond Bar (Los Angeles area) - Blink
Cypress (Orange County) - Eaton (Mitsubishi)
Los Angeles (downtown) - Blink

Several more will be up within a month or two, and maybe a dozen more this summer.

OEVA states 48 fast chargeers in OR alone. I think this info is out of date

Problem is, as people have pointed out, some people don't know how to use it and state they have CHAdeMO at home. I checked Private Residence and Quick Charge (CHAdeMO) only and got 10 hits. :roll:

Okay, so we're looking at about 168 CHAdeMO stations.

Not necessarily. The advantage of the AFDC listing process, IMO, is the vetting of sites and the correction of erroneous postings.

As I posted a few days ago, the AFDC map now shows for the "lower 48", 114 public, 151 including "private", and 159 including "planned".

For example, it now shows 14 public, and one each private and planned for a total of 16 for California. If you know of any DCs NOT YET posted there, or other posting errors, please use the submission form at the site to correct the map.

The number of CHAdeMO DC Quick charger installed up to today is 1902.
