I just got back from a dealer, and he told me the MF went up on the 13 to .00190.
See the first post. MF depends on the trim. May be he is taking the base 0.00168 for S and adding his markup on it.

24 months: $1995 down plus drive away for $99 per month plus tax.
Wow - if this is true.
I see this offer from Redwood City, CA Nissan. CA tax credit of 2500 might be helping with the deal.
How would that work ? Isn't the $2500 to be claimed by the owner (and in case of lease, the person who leased) ?

Right, neither the dealer nor the leasing company can get that $2,500. But maybe the "plus" in "$1995 down plus drive away" really means "plus $2500 that you will get back plus tax and license". So you actually end up putting down about $5K.

Not the best way to advertise.

BTW, aren't you supposed to keep Leaf for 3 years in order to get that $2500 ? So getting that on a 2 year lease looks wrong.

Right. That's the rule for the California CVRP Rebate.

:). nothing like that. The estimated 'drive off price' for me was 1995 + 1300 (for taxes, dmv, some fees) : about 3250. I left a deposit and will test drive one as soon as they get their first batch (expected in one or two weeks).

The ad is quite clear, "Term: 24 Months". That sure sounds like an odd thing for Boardwalk to do since, as evnow and LEAFer have said, you would lose the $2500 rebate. From the CVRP website:
Eligible Applicants must meet requirements that include, but are not limited to, the following:
...
4. Purchase or lease an eligible vehicle before applying for a rebate as specified in Section 2.1 and 2.7 in the CVRP Implementation Manual. Lease terms of at least 36 months are required for program eligibility.
On a 24 month lease that works out to $104 per month, making your effective monthly payment $203 plus tax rather than $99 plus tax.

For Invoice - $100, 36 month lease will be $195 a month. Which will be like $100 a month after CA rebate !

Update : not correct. More like $125.

For CA residents forfeiting the $2,500 cash rebate with the 2 year lease vesus the 3 year lease makes no sense to me either. Those in CA don't forget to include sales tax in those numbers for total price.

2 year S lease total cost : 4,731 (140/month)
3 year S lease total cost : 6,881 (190/month), taking into account 2,500 CA rebate

I copied the Boardwalk Nissan Lease here for reference. Do you really think they are making it $100 under invoice? How is this possible?

If those numbers turn out to be right Leafs should really start moving!
$6,881 + 8.5% = $7,465.89 - $2,500 = $4,965.89 / 36 = $137.94!
Seeing these numbers its looking more and more likely I will be returning my 2011 at the end of its 3 year lease in January 2014.

**Disclaimer**

I am not speaking from any concrete knowledge. only inferences that could be taken wrong by myself. **

For anyone considering ending their lease early on a 2011 or 12 to get a 13, I would recommend against this. the 2014 MY promises to provide better performance, more option choices and a lower price.

Nissan currently understands that price is still a barrier and are working to lower TCO and the 13 MY price cuts are most likely only the beginning.

In any decision, there are several things to consider. Range degradation and public charging support being the two biggest. if you can make your range work for you now, i would wait.

Yeah, she mentioned for 3 years it will be 195, but not at all interested selling that. I didn't think about CA rebate.

I asked her what would be the price if I want to buy rather than lease, but again she had no interest.. just said "it will be costiler, leasing is better" (also, I think they could not state official prices till Feb 4th).

What would be the logic? wouldn't it be simpler for them to just sell the car at invoice price, may be some restriction from Nissan?

I've already taken that 2.5k into account.
