I'm interested what the NMAC residual is for a LEAF SV or SL lease that is based on 15K/yr miles. I see that currently the 12K/yr miles residual is running at 41%.

Those of you that are dealer representatives, please chime in.

+1

Also looking for residual on 24 month / 12K year on 2014 SL (I assume the MF is the same as the 36 month?)

Thanks

Fixed this deal in Dallas yesterday

2013 Leaf SL without premium
lease payment of $319/month with first month advance
this was inclusive all.
24 month for 12k miles
had protection package, mats, tinted glass thrown in

Thinking back I probably lost about $30/month
Dealer sold at below invoice $32k

Thank you all for this forum, this has been very helpful

Dealt with Autonation Dallas, very impressed with their customer service though.

Those of who arent aware yet - texas has announced a $2500 rebate on EVs
http://www.terpgrants.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
with the 24 month lease i'll get back $1250, so lease works out at $260/month.

Just acquired a 2013 leaf s w/quick charge.
Msrp 31,xxx
Paid 24848 after 2500 rebate. No sales tax on ev's in Washington so that saves $2500 ish dollars as well. Barely made the 60 mile trip home on 50 miles indicated

hi All,
I live in LosAngeles. I got following lease deal. Nissan is offering additional 1K discount for 2013 leafs this week. However, the lease still seems high to me.

2013 S w QC
price 27500
15k/yr
36 months
Monthly payment 250 w/ tax with 0 down. I don't know the details of residual, MF etc. Butsmost likely the MF is .00003

2013 SV w/ QC/LED
Price 30000
15k/yr
36 months
Monthly payment 285 w/ tax with 0 down. I don't know the details of residual, MF etc.

is this a good deal or can I do better?

Seattle, 2014 S + QC, mats, trunk mat, splash, protection, recycle kit (WTF).
~$500 drive off, $208/mo.
24mo, 12k/yr

Is the $285 monthly including tax? If so, it's not too bad. My 2014 SV + QC/LED is $1000 down + $250 monthly including tax. So if I had done $0 down, it would be ~$280 monthly. But mine was 12k miles/year for 36 months.

I had VPP. And the Nissan incentive was $8300 ($7500 federal credit + $800 additional from Nissan).

thanks theds.. yes, it is incl tax, but pls note that mine is 2013 and not 2014 and this is without vpp. between 12k and 15k, it makes a difference of about $12/month
I think nissan has additional incentive of 1000 this week

theds, your lease seems like a great deal. The dealer i contacted is claiming that no one can beat his deal because it is so low, but ur is already lower. do u mind sharing your dealer name?

If it's a 2013 manufactured in the later part of the model year, I don't see that being a problem. In the hindsight, I'd prefer a 2013, since it still has the option to stop charge at 80%.

PMed you my dealer contact. I don't think my deal is too much lower than yours, considering the mileage difference and I had an extra $1000 from VPP.

Hi,

Congrats with your new Leaf! I am in BayArea and thinking to lease one.... but not clear with some information below.

What is VPP? Some kind of discount?
In your breakdown, you mentioned Nissan incentive $8300.... is it a Fed credit and State refund you will qualify to apply $5800 credit in 2014 Fed tax return and $2500 check refund from State? The monthly payment $250.94 and $1k drive off is based on the negotiated sale price of $29880? Any idea what would be the approx sale price for S model and lease payment?

Could you pm me the sale person and dealer name?

If getting $8300 refund and credit from Fed/State with only $250 a month to lease plus carpool sticker is hell of a deal!

Thanks.

I signed the lease this afternoon and just drove the LEAF back. Love the car! (I didn't even test drive before signing. )

2014 SV + QC/LED, Splash Guard, floor and cargo mat. 36 month lease with 12k miles/year.

MSRP: $34800
Sale price: $29880 (VPP)
Acquisition Fee: $595
Doc fee: $80
Gross Cap Cost: $30555
Residual: $14268 (41%)
Nissan Incentive: $8300
Money Factor: 0.00003
Total due at signing: $1000
Monthly: $250.94 (of 35 payments, including taxes)

VPP is Nissan's corporate discount program for employees of certain companies and members of certain organizations (including military). Go to this website to see if you qualify: http://www.insidenissan.com/monthly_plans.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The $8300 incentive, if on a lease, should include the $7500 Federal tax credit passed onto the consumer by Nissan, but will not include any state or local incentives which you will have to apply for separately.

Not sure about the price for S. But this particular dealer / sales manager quoted me a straightforward price on the SV. I recognized it being a good deal and took it without further negotiation. I only changed the down pay amount from the initial quote of $2500 to $1000. But the MF is so low it's essentially 0% financing. The reduced down pay amount is basically spread out over 35 months. I've send you a PM with the contact.

The $8300 Nissan incentive is already included in the lease payment calculation, but not in the sale price. The $1000 discount from VPP was factored in the sale price. You won't get additional tax credit from the federal government. But you can apply for the $2500 rebate from the California State and get a check in September, if you are leasing for 36 months.

I live in California.
A lease option right now is $1999 Down and $199 per month.
I would still get the $2500 back from CA State and recoup my down.

My questions are:

If I purchase the car at lease end, does the $7500 tax credit come off
the purchase price? I looked at some lease details and the total 36 monthly payments for a 2014 S would be $7884 with a purchase price of $11000 remaining.
If you add the $7500 to that, it brings it to about the MSRP...

Is it worth adding the quick charge package?

Mark

No the $7500 is taken right off the top at the time the car is leased. It's included as part of the "Capitalized Cost Reduction", which is just a fancy term for "down payment." Basically, your down payment is padded by an another $7500, plus any additional cash thrown in by Nissan (which can range from $0 to as much as $2750 when I got my car).

If you decide to buy the car at lease end, you will pay NMAC the stated Residual Value plus a $300 or so transfer fee, and any government fees such as sales tax on the residual, another year's registration fees, and DMV transfer fees.

Yes it is worth it to get the QC package. On the Leaf S, it gets you the faster on board charger, and if you get a leftover 2013, it also includes a regular backup camera (which is standard for 2014). If you get the SV, it also gets you the LED headlights.
