    14.4 Miles/kWh!!

My car rules on efficiency! :) I didn't even have to go a special way to get it! I just reset at the top of my driveway. (Hey, even a 20ft drop helps!) I headed toward work and noticed the efficiency hitting 9 then 10 mpk, so when I pulled out, again a bit hilly but more downhill, I watched...

    XM Radio Trial Subscription period?

I still can't believe that with the cost of the nav system you still have to pay for traffic. My Garmin, for about $125, has lifetime maps and traffic! I didn't realize XM had a separate option for traffic only. When the XM salesperson called and asked how I liked XM, I talked about the...

Local Atlanta Nissan dealer put BAG and LOCK on its charger.

Look, this is the US. There aren't cajones or heuvos here. There are balls or nuts. You want heuvos and cajones, go to Spain! (Did somebody mention contentiousness?) ;) BTW, I would hope that only about 49% of the population has balls, nuts, heuvos, or cajones.

Quick guide to partial or delayed charging

Fully activated with codes supplied. AT&T service was thought to be the issue when I was on the phone with the helpdesk guy, but I've been in an area with good service and it still didn't work. Need to find time to call again when I am in a good service area for AT&T as my home is questionable...

    Say hello to sparky!!

Yep, I'm already at the point where it doesn't even seem like a deal. I'll probably get the blink card for ease of use, but stick with getting home and using the included 120V brick since I don't usually make enough use of the car for a full recharge to take longer than the car sits overnight.

Quick guide to partial or delayed charging

Carwings still not cooperating, but car will charge to 80% in 4 hrs 30 min and be ready by 6am. I forgot to check the charge level. Thanks for the quick and knowledgeable response!

Quick guide to partial or delayed charging

I got home with about 55-60% left. That included an admittedly short lunch run, but given that 80% to start and a longer lunch run would result in still being above 30%, 80% should work. Off to try and set the timer now. Carwings was being uncooperative as well. I'll also try to connect again...

    Official Porsche Panamera PHEV thread

I lust after the Panamera (hoping for the wagon version soon so I can buy a 5 year old example in about 7 years!) among other similar vehicles. I drool over the Maserati Quatroporte that just replaced a GranTurismo as well as her business partner's AMG CLS63. Yet I do care about the environment...

Quick guide to partial or delayed charging

Took delivery last night with an abbreviated show and tell with salesperson. I'll probably be at about 45% when I get home and I want to either charge to about 90% or finish my charge at around 6am. Is there a quick way to walk me through that online for the next couple of days? I will be...

    Say hello to sparky!!

Maybe by October 16 I'll have confidence to run a 61 mile loop on one charge. Corey

My wife was going to drive it home, but it got late so she took the kids home in our Odyssey. My commute is from Marietta (east Cobb, so almost Roswell) to Alpharetta. I'm sure I'll have a blast with it! :) Corey

    New Leaf owner

I think I'll switch between hypermiling and normal/aggressive driving even during the same trip. I did make a full tree on a 14 mile trip this morning and start on the second. Eventually I'll find time to even know what that means! :) I gather you can make 2 or 3 trees in a single "tank" with...

    Terminology protest

I wondered why the term charger was incorrect. I only just joined and curiosity hadn't caused me to search too much; now I know that the EVSE is the power delivery device to get power to the onboard charger. I like "charging staton" instead of EVSE and obviously this is better than charger since...

    New Leaf owner

Well, I'm one of the ones who thought electric cars were a long way from prime time. Now, here I am an early(ish) adopter. It does help that Uncle Sam and Aunt Georgia are giving me so much help with the cost, though! :) Just took delivery last night and made it to work with plenty of juice...
