Well, it continued to look like Leaf, Bolt, and M3 are our only real sub 50K choices in the Midwest. Sub 35K it’s only Bolt and Leaf (post discounts).
Thanks for sharing this current news article. It totally makes sense to use your EV batteries in the best markets. The Leaf's heyday was in Europe after all. Asia will do well in the EC market I expect like the Leaf did initially.

Tesla it seems are going with Cobalt free batteries from China for China EV market in their standard range Model 3's. Europe and China should be hot EV markets for the next 10 years with the USA EV market may continue to see limited sales for the same period of time. A plus this USA delay could give current car makers a few more years of life before the ICE starts fading fast.

Don’t forget Ireland! It’s still the leader even through Feb.

Leaf had it’s best Feb ever in Canada. 245 sales. Oddly, it’s also picking up steam again in Norway, and price cuts in Europe may also drive demand.

Have to say with relatively few updates in 2020, a bit surprised the Leaf sales are accelerating.

I think in May is when we are to hear if the UK factory will stay or close, etc.

#4 Nissan Leaf — The Japanese hatchback was up 17% in January (yay!!!), to 3,177 registrations, with the Nissan EV winning a bit of charge and keeping up with the best, mostly thanks to promotions (as in, discounts) in a few markets. Looking at individual countries, the UK (900 units) was its largest market, followed by Norway (366), France (360), and Ireland (296).

#5 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV — The Japanese SUV was up 11% last month, to 3,149 registrations, with the Mitsubishi workhorse benefitting from its unique formula (lots of utility and space, for not that much money) to continue running with the best, even following the EV bubble’s growth. Looking at individual countries, Germany (868 units) and the UK (600) were its largest markets, with the following being Sweden (427) and Norway (303).

Another reference to the Leaf being extremely reliable among all types of cars.
