I've seen (as many on the forum have) some press about the Nissan 10K Chademo that will be marketed in the US this year. I found a news story that said they were going to partner with Aerovironment for the distribution. Why don't you see if you can contact someone through this site:

to suggest solutions. They might be more flexible than those you've talked to so far.

Let us know how you're doing, I'd love to see some charging points around the peninsula!

Any update on this? Have you installed? How did it go? I see plug share lists something at 83 Denny Avenue, Port Townsend, WA 98368.

+1 on The level 3 in Port Townsend.
I always love Port Townsend, the first port in Puget Sound.
I agree with others that the level 2 will force people to stay in the Port for a couple hours, which will be great for businesses.
Maybe approach the chamber of commerce, to assist with a level 3 or 2 install?
The 3 would be a good option so you could explore the area, where as the level 2 would be great to stay and play in the local area.
I would most likely use the level 2.

Port it up!

Port Orchard
Poulsbo (already proposed)
Port Townsend
Port Angeles
Forks
Lake Quinalt
Aberdeen
Elma
Shelton

that should cover it. now the Indians will have to provide a few in the rainforest. not sure how that is going to work. solar is not likely an option here :D

the Forks to "anywhere south" is the Hoh Rain Forest (the ONLY one left in the Continental US of A) and other than big trees and 24/7 fog. aint much else there but guessing the casinos are going to have to step up here.

next time you out gambling, start bending some ears!

I've had to take trips to Sequim and PT 4 times in the last 2 months. It drives me crazy that I have to take my ICE from Issaquah. If there was a QC on hwy 101 @ hwy 20, it is my feeling that it would be a huge money maker. Maybe the Fat Smitty's folks would be interested??? :)
