Startup Sound Change?

Anybody know how to change the startup sound? Every time I turn on my LEAF I feel like I'm starting a game of "Frogger"!

Sometime after Nissan works through the more important issues, it would be nice if they provided a mechanism to allow owners to replace the audio cues for startup & shutdown with their own sound clips. It might get wearing after a week or so, but I'd like to have Adam West's voice ticking off the Batmobile's startup checklist...

Just saw that Batman clip your talking about and that would be cool. Would love to get a hack to change the startup and the outside noise maker as well. Somebody has got to give it a try.

Why do it the hard way? Meaning hack the leaf's built in sound.

Instead, turn off the leaf's sound entirely, and install any of dozens of sound modules available through hobby shops. Trigger it with any wire that goes from 0 to 12V as you power on the car. Load any file you want...

Do these things have a certain name? Some searching didn't turn up anything.

since the weather has been in the mid 20's (a bit uncharacteristic) my startup sound only plays less than half the time. i kinda miss it. i should probably go in to see if its still on. didnt know you could turn it off.

To turn it off, FIRST select a sound other than the default, THEN select the OFF (or None?) option.

My startup sound is on and it does work about half the time. Now ready I am tracking it though have had several startups with no issues. But just add u thought the issue was resolved it failed me this morning. But its nothing I will lose sleep over.

Now if I had that THX sounds I would be extremely upset every time it did not play!!

Thanks for pointing out how to disable the startup sound. Yeah, I know I should have read the manual more thoroughly... I went through the touch screen menu without finding anything, didn't realize there's more setup behind the steering wheel.

I've been shifting out of Park more quickly to avoid the startup sound
