Gathering in 24 hours and 29 minutes, in Cerritos
at the Hometown Buffet just north of South Street,
about 2 blocks East of 605. The South Street exit
is the first exit south of 91, on the 605.

I could not make yesterday's gathering because I attended the EVAOSC meeting at AQMD. Paul Scott gave a very good talk, detailing how his aborted meeting with Obama went down.

Ford brought their Cmax Energi Plugin Hybrid for test drives. I got 10$ gift certificate for riding in it. I liked it. Nice center console display, better than Leaf, noise-canceling speakers, more interior room and better mpg than Volt, twice electric range of Pip.

The Tesla owner who had the fender bender returned with his car. It had been in the shop 5 months.

This meeting was fun, got to replace three cabin air filters! I'm quite quick at swapping them out now. It's much easier to remove the glove box than trying to wrestle through that meager opening.

Also added distilled water to three 12v batteries too. Did some hydrometer readings beforehand and nobody's battery was in good shape except for 91040's. :?

oh boy . . . 12v battery check now on the agenda. numbskull that I am ... I presumed they were permanent caps. Thanks for the heads up.

Jeremy won a Cabin filter at the workshop for his flexible,
bottoms-up approach to helping all of us. :D

We had only about 7 at the Gathering, including one
couple who are trying to decide upon their next vehicle.
Hopefully we gave more help than confusion, but
they might have been overwhelmed by the outpouring.

Thanks, Jeremy, you were a great help. :D

Kat, how are you doing?
We are all thinking about you.

The filter replacement is not easy for larger, less flexible folks
like myself. Some positions I can get into that I cannot get out of.
Of course, having one weak, "less functional" arm does not help.
But, very thankfully, much better than missing an arm entirely. :D

However, we can have special workshops to accomodate the
the physically, mentally, emotionally, dimentionally, or
instructionally challenged, or even "normal" people, if we
ever meet any.

In any case, Kat, you will not be left out.
Get well first, and worry about these little things later.
Love, from us all.

Gathering this coming Saturday in Santa Ana at the
Hometown Buffet on 17th street, just 2 blocks East of
the I-5 freeway. I will try to be there around 8 AM,
but might have to leave by 11, depending upon
the passenger situation.

Cheers, all :p

Reminder: Gathering tomorrow (Saturday) at the Hometown Buffet
on 17th street in Santa Ana, just 2 blocks East of I-5.

I plan on being there at about 8 AM, but I will need to leave at 11.

I am working on a delta-type 3D Printer, and I will try to bring it
for show and tell (not yet functional).

I plan to be there tomorrow. Will brings pics from my tour today of the eSolar thermal solar plant in Lancaster. Tour was arranged by Harvey Mudd. A nice toasty 102 to 104 F in full sun. Leaf stayed home in pre cooled garage. Looking for some temporary temperature relief in Santa Ana.

July brings us almost to the end of of our 3rd year of Gatherings.

It looks like july 13th for Cerritos and July 27th for Santa Ana.

Thanks all for your great encouragement, and help.
