I plan to be at Cerritos on 9th, assuming my LEAF does not lose any more than the current -5% of battery capacity. No real problem, just trying to get used to the reality of shrinking range. I can make up 5% by charging 20 min at SCE CTAC in Irwindale on way home.

Gang, I'm planning an escort convoy for Tony Williams as he drives his highly visible LEAF border-to-border car through Orange County on Wednesday, June 13. We're thinking of meeting up with him at the Laguna Beach charging stations, accompanying him in convoy to the Newport Center charging stations, and then to the QC at Cypress Mitsubishi. Then any of us who still have range can convoy with him as he heads into LA County until we have to peel off and return.

Who's available and up for this on Wednesday June 13? We'd probably meet at Laguna Beach before Tony's projected arrival of 10 am. I'll reserve a charge spot for him there so he has no delay in plugging in. If someone doesn't want to go as far south as Laguna but would be willing to meet us at Newport Beach, they could reserve a charging spot there. Not sure of the timing, but those two spots at Newport are pretty popular sometimes, so blocking one of those for Tony would be cool.

After the Cypress DC charge, I will go to the new Blink in downtown LA if it is ready. Otherwise, toward the coast at Redondo Beach, Santa Monica and Malibu west (what LA people call north) on PCH toward Ventura.

I'll be coming from Victorville on the 23rd to the Santa Ana meetup - my first! I'll probably need to stop at the AQMD in Diamond Bar for a short charge on the way down, then a full charge at the Segerstrom Center in Costa Mesa later in the afternoon while my wife and I watch Les Miserables, shop, and eat dinner. Then home with a stop at the QC in San Bernardino. Should be an adventure!
